Her mum just turned up very drunk yelling abuse about my husband and telling me to stay away from her daughter, she is now sat in her friends car outside my house waiting for my husband to get home.0 -
Sit tight and let your husband deal with her. As a step mum ( and i speak from experience) you couldn't do right whatever you said or did. You can guarantee if the child has pent her childhood in and out of care the woman's a complete peach.0

Ignore! You said two posts ago how well you were getting on with her, maybe mum is terrified of that and the fact that your daughter is being welcomed with open arms into a loving and stable family unit when her background hasn't been so great (daughter went into care).
She'll sober up and hopefully SD will talk to her calmly.
Stay calm and polite and make no concessions to her, otherwise you might make a rod for your own back.

It's a sensible course of action to leave your OH to deal with this, you and your children have already been caught in the crossfire..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
