Raspberries fruiting well. Have loads of canes come up from the primocane plant I bought last year, so will have to sort out a space for them in the autumn, although the 3 canes in the pot were still fruiting at the end of november!!
Strawberries have finished but this is their 3rd year,Mabel and Myrtle, the hens will eat the old crowns as a treat.
Flowers on the squash and the courgettes but no sign of anything setting yet. Looks like there will be an abundance of cherry tomatoes, hooray! and the first cucumber has made an appearance.
Just the watering to do now, then a glass or two of alcohol!!
CazSaving for another hound :j

I appear to have flowers on 2 of the 4 courgette plants. This is new territory for me.0

Well I've been away on holiday and I'm seriously debating not going away in summer again, my allotment seems to have become overtaken by weeds
we've been down there 6 hours today and have managed to weed 3 beds and sort the greenhouse. I have dozens of toms and my 4 cucumber plants are growing like wildfire I have a big cucumber growing on one of them
One of my cauliflowers has white curdshave had loads of strawberries which the kids have devoured! I'll be spending most of my time down there this week trying get back on top of it and topping up the water.
Hope everyone is doing well and things are growing nicely0 -
Today I've lifted a decent handful of potatoes, some turnips, two little courgettes and some peppers. Enough for dinner. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Well, with the heat this weekend, really glad I had a big garden tidy last weekend!
Moved 9 tomatoes into the biggest pots. That'll be their last move. Spotted my first tomato flower!:j Moved a few more up into bigger pots which had become available, but I'll still have to repot a fair few into the biggest pots.:)
Cucumbers planted out.:)
Hanging baskets are kicking in, & one of the flower tubs has burst into flower. The other had 1 flower bud on friday. It hasn't opened yet, but on sunday noticed a wealth of other buds appearing.:)
A couple of other chillis appear to have perished, but in the main, they're all surviving.
Had to water twice on sunday. Morning & night. I'm actually (with hindsight) relieved the tennis was on, as I'd have stayed out in that sun all day otherwise, & the tennis was probably a good distraction & kept me out of too much sun!
In the heat, a couple of tomato plants grew at least a couple of inches from the time I repotted them at 11am.:TIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Ok, so my veg patch isn't really planted this year but a hedge of roses (the wild sort) I planted 5yrs ago is fantastic and I've just found a recipe for rose petal wine and I actually have all the ingredients without having to buy anything. So perhaps MBE would like a little white wine to go with his dinner - unless my OH gets there first!!!!!
Blackcurrent bushes doing well just starting to turn colour.
The red and white currents are a bit behind.0 -

Yes, I think perhaps he would. I dropped 2kg of rhubarb round to my mate at the weekend for exactly this purpose.

BTW noticed on sunday morning that when I repotted the toms, they were at least 2" below the shelf above when I put them back in the greenhouse.
When I went out to water again in the evening, they'd grown to reach the shelf! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Yeah, this nice warm spell is bringing on mine nicely. It should hopefully make up for the slow start to the season. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Oh, and I finally finished the walking stick that I grew:
