I think you've passed it on to me now.
But we men just have to grin and bear it I s'pose.;)

Sorry John, germs are for sharing too? :o hope you get it for just 24 hours like hubby did.
How about we share the board? I will undoubtedly forget to start it, but can certainly help it tick over.

That's a good idea LV, I'm sure MBE will drop in too next year ;)

Hmmm.... 2-2. Who to vote for?
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I haven't done anything in the garden lately. It desperately needs tidying up - I've got dead and dying stuff all over the place that needs ripping out, shredding and composting.

    And now it's cold. :(

Can anyone point me towards a fool/LV proof what to do week by week guide for next year?

    As you wish...

Sally A did this for January, and I'm pretty sure all the other month followed. ;)

Month by month is about as good as you'll get, I reckon.

Started to tidy up - sounds too good, but I wanted to take some blackcurrent cuttings amongst others so got stuck in today. Tomorrow, I want to make some more cider with the rest/last of the apples.

The rest of the plot and greenhouse looks a mess so I think I'll let the hens into it as they will love a new area and soon have it cleared - that's the 'cheats way' but I prefer to call it the 'organic/natural way' lol :)

I do find there are not enough hours in the day to do everything. I've started to look after my hens and alpacas again, then there's the housework, cooking, shopping, admin for a club I'm involved in. I want to do more gardening, carriage drive and ride again, sitting down is a luxury, goodness knows how I managed to work and bring up a family as well before I retired. Must be slowing down in my old age!!!
It's now 1.20am, must let the dogs out before bed, pleased to say one has stopped running off to hunt and they are all quite keen to come straight back into the warmth, and I'll be up again before 7am but then again I'm enjoying myself more now than ever - enough said.

LV, I have a very old version of this book, given to me by my grandmother on my 18th birthday:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Your-Garden-Week-By/dp/1443718920

It's wonderful and I still read all these years later.

Not me I let it slip onto page 2 :o

No gardening done here due to my health or my families.
However things are back to normal now, so tomorrow I am pulling my first parsnips and will post a pic of them.

Zafi, I like that end bit of your post, we should all enjoy ourselves as much as possible. Life really is too short, shame I didn't realise that 30 years ago.

Ideas please for the bit of 'lawn' in front of the shed. It's turned into a wet muddy area as the shed blocks out the bit of sun it did get. Didn't you put a grid of some sort in front of yours MBE? Did that work?
The area concerned is about 3' deep and 4' wide.
