Tonight I've sown:
Corno Rosso pepper
Nardello pepper
Unknown variety of chilli from Sandwell Valley Victorian Garden - I posted a pic of it last year.
Rokita pepper
Cayenne pepper
Big Jim pepper
8 assorted chillies from a mixed pack, so I won't know the variety until they're grown. Not one of my best ideas that, as I'll have to keep them all.
Pot Black aubergine
Telepathy cucumber
Esmarald cucumber
All Year Round cauliflower
Olivia kohl rabi
Kumato, just to see if I can get one off to an early start. Don't hold out an awful lot of hope really but worth a punt.
That scratches an itch.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

If I leave them in, will they eventually grow up?
Mine look the same this year, don't think they liked to local cats digging them several times in the summer.
I've pulled them all and made leek and potato soup with them.
Well done on the sowings, you've done more than me.
I was at mums at the weekend and I've convinced her she'd like some tomatoes growing outside this year. Did try for BNS but she doesn't like them so that's a no. So now I have my small garden, part of my sons and a little bit of mums for growing food0 -

Hope not, his chillis won't germinate as it's too cold!0 -
In the heated propagator on the windowsill...although the brassicas don't need the heat - I should probably have left them out.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

maybe that's where I'm going wrong - I don't have all these gadgets and propa-whatsits. Just a windowsill and small garden. Sigh.0

In true MSE style it's a non-heated-cheap-as-chips-propagator from B&Q with a heat mat underneath. Nothing fancy but it does the job.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

I am trying, not saying that it will work, to germinate peppers, cucumbers etc in kitchen roll in ziplock bags. I have hung the bags with a clothes peg to a string of fairy lights and taped the bags to the wall so the lights arent directly touching. As I said, I don't know if this will work but I have enough seed here to try it so if it doesn't work shall just wait a bit longer to sow in the cold frame instead as I have tiny window and rubbish light and no heat mats etc. I read that some people put them on top of their fridges but I have zero heat on top of mine. I shall post if it works or doesn't0 -
that sounds complicated. I think I'll just sulk and wait.0
