Ooops, sorry Maam. How long do I have to stand in the corner?:(

Oi! It's MY thread. So one hour please. Not for going off topic - just for being Welsh. :rotfl:
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Hi all - just stumbled on this thread, count me in :)

Just about to start 3rd allotmenting year, and am looking at 2 tons of nice manure and wondering how it got to February and why I didn't dig in November.

You can both stand in the naughty corner :p

Almost cleared out stuff from DD's old room so I can get a table up by the window for the propagator and seedlings.
Had a look at my soil and it's very wet still so will wait till next month before sowing some parsnips John's way. I really hope we have a dryish spring here in London, even my grass is looking soggy with bald bits :(

I think us Welshies need to stick together here!

Maybe we should talk about how to grow leeks? I'd quite like to do that.

Brining this back to gardening (I'm Danish and we don't do Rugby) my greenhouse is being build tomorrow and my seed potatoes have arrived. Sown my parsley on the window sill and had my blueberry delivered.

Feels like Spring is getting nearer just come back from Cornwall the daffs are out already down there.

Not very well, anyway. Team formed in 1949 and didn't get a win until 1963. You currently have a 35% win rate, mostly over Austria, it would appear. :p

Anyway, enough digression. I have just been informed that the competition this year will be marrows. Heaviest by Halloween wins.

I don't like marrows. :( They take an enormous amount of space which I am loath to part with, and they're not in my top 1000 things I like to eat. Oh well, a bet's a bet. :rotfl:

Variety still to be decided, but apparently is likely to be Badger or Tiger.

I desperately need help with my leeks. I really like them, but despite my best efforts I have spring onions. :(

If I leave them in, will they eventually grow up?
