Fantastic result
Thank you for coming back to me and letting me know that my understanding was correct as this was the first time I've had to do this.0 -

We were delayed over night at CDG on 28/12/2014 on the way to JHB. I would just like to commend air france in their dealings with me. I tried to claim through their website but could not get my name and flying blue number to match so I called them on 20/01/2015 and have received an email from them today offering me £458 cash or £611 in flight vouchers each for my partner and myself.
them several times.
I'd be grateful to know what phone number you used.
Thanks!0 -
Our AF flight from Colombia to Paris in July 2011 was delayed by 24 hours after a "problem of overheating was discovered in one of the engines".
They denied my claim several times from 2012 to 2014, each time on the grounds of it constituting extraordinary circumstances, but I recently sent a fifth (or sixth - I can't quite remember) letter to them outlining the ruling in the Jet2 vs Huzar case (even though I believe that non-UK airlines are not currently bound to the outcome of the ruling), and have just received a reply from them accepting my claim of compensation for EUR600 for each of the two passengers.
The various references to the court rulings in this topic were useful, and I am glad that Air France have accepted my claim. They were sticking to their guns for a long time, but I really did believe we were entitled to the compensation under reg 261/2004.
edit: by the way my first correspondence was through the website. All subsequent correspondences were made by replying to their emails in my inbox. I didn't speak to them on the phone at all.0 -

Hi All,
I made a claim with Air France for a flight in August 2010 from Paris to Montreal. I got a reply from them to say that under their conditions they can only compensate within a limit of 2 years only.
I believe what they are saying is complete rubbish and they just trying to put me off.
Could you please tell how i approach this situation and what I need to write to them back.
If one of you great members can guide me to a similar thread, that will be fantastic as well.
Thank you very much all
