Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Easyjet ONLY

Easyjet have asked me to provide bank details to pay us our compensation for a delayed flight, but they will only pay for the two adults who travelled and not the two infants. The infants didn't have their own seats but we still had to pay taxes and charges. I am right that we can also claim compensation for them, aren't I?
I really feel we deserve this compensation and am not impressed at how easyjet are handling it. Delayed for almost 5 hours with two 14 month old babies, my friend is diabetic and because of the delay she wasn't able to eat properly at the right time and was so ill she was taken off the flight by the red cross; we were delayed a further two hours while they sorted her out at the airport. Between her illness and me having to manage two tired and bored babies, it was an utterly awful journey.

Yes you can - and the evidence of others is that, when you start court action, they settle. Infants are covered - and even the CAA say so! Search for "infant" on this forum to see others' experiences.0 -

They tried that with me when it was heading to court - said the other "alleged" passengers would need to make their own claim! - I wrote to the court expressing what nonsense it was, they had been supplied evidence time and again who the passengers were in my party.0 -

And did you win?
Reading through other posts, it seems like I'll end up taking this to court. Ridiculous behaviour from Easyjet.0 -
Read through this forum and using Martin's standard letter I claimed for an 8 hour delayed flight from Nice to Gatwick from Aug 2012. We had tried to claim immediately we got back but EJ rejected it, because we'd arrived at Gatwick at 2am with 3 kids we tried to claim for our taxi but they wouldn't do anything. Fortunately my husband had kept our boarding cards and the original letter and EJ repl. I emailed them yesterday 14/11/14 with attached evidence and today this was their reply:
"I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced on the 29th August 2012.
I have checked the flight disruption report for your flight and can confirm that the reason for the delay was technical issues. This was rejected correctly at the time but recently a High Court ruling deemed that these types of delays should be classified as non-extraordinary and passengers are now entitled to compensation.
As such you are entitled to 250 euros each. In order to process this compensation can you please provide us with the last 4 digits of the card you would like the payment to go to as well as a prefered contact number. Once we have received the last 4 digits in writing, if it does not match the last 4 digits on the booking, we will call you to confirm the rest of the card details. If it does match the details on the booking we will process it straight away for you.
In regards to the train ticket you purchased we will be unable to refund this. easyJet is a point to point carrier and we do not take responsibility for any post flight personal arrangements."
To say I am gobsmacked is an understatement. They have agreed to our compensation in less than 24 hours. I don't have the card, as it's expired but I hope they contact me to sort out payment. I will post again when they actually pay up.0 -

How much comp should I be claiming for per passenger? Is it €300 or €600 and what are my chances of success
Thanks
Well got a response, how on earth does a strike in France cause me delays in sharm? Do they not have prior knowledge of strikes in other countries to make sure it dosnt affect different flights.mis this the end of the road the?
Dear Janette
Thank you for contacting easyJet
I have just seen the report for 15/09/2010 in regards to your flight from Sharm El Sheikh to Manchester.
Having looked into your booking I can see flight EZY1856 on 15/09/2010 was delayed by 3 hours 33 minutes on arrival into Manchester.
The reason for this delay as per our Flight Disruption Report is a strike in France causing delays on previous sectors. Please be advised that when a flight is disrupted it will be classified under EC261/2004 as either extraordinary or non-extraordinary. As this was outside of easyJet reasonable control and could not be prevented it is classified as extraordinary.
Under EC 261/2004 if a flight is disrupted due to an extraordinary circumstance compensation is not payable.
Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused and I trust this will not deter you from flying with us in the future
Yours sincerely
