    Hi,

Could anyone give an idea of how long it currently takes to get a claim through the court system please?

I am using Bott and co who are very good in my opinion. They always reply quickly to any questions I have, and update me when asked.

Bott said they filed the directions questionnaire on 22/05/2014 with Liverpool County Court and they have selected local courts which have the shortest waiting time. I understand there is little more Bott can do until they hear back from the court but just wondered if others had experience of what the waiting time may be?

I originally contacted Bott in January with this claim so its already been 9 months.

    Thanks

If your claim is from an incident over two years ago, or if it involves a delay caused by a technical problem, then the claim is likely to be stayed until the Supreme Court offers a view on these matters. But you should have had confirmation from the County Court by now of that, I'd have thought.

    Thank you for your reply

My claim is from September 2009 and was caused by bad weather affecting two flights previous to mine and the knock on effect it had on my flight
  • Hi, thanks for your respone Vauban, much appreciated. My guide is hopefully of some use: the link appears to be invalid though - could you check ?

I've had a reply. My flight was cancelled over 4 years ago and I have no idea what card I used. Any suggestions?

    go to

    https://www.easyjet.com/EN/secure/MyEasyJet.mvc/ViewBooking?bookingReference=xxxxxxx

replace xxxxxxx with your booking ref. bottom right, click on your payments and it tells you the date, card, and last 4 digits of the card payment.

    or

    http://www.easyjet.com/en/Booking/Receipt?ref=xxxxxx

again, replace xxxxxx with your booking ref and you will get a receipt emailed to you
  • Hi all
Just a quick post about my dealings with Easyjet. Had a flight delay of 4 hours in September 2014 Palma-Bristol. Remember being told by airline various reasons as to why but the most common one was that no crew were available and a new one had to be sent from Gatwick. Followed Mr Lewis' simple steps today and went directly onto the easyjet website to complain, checked all of my flight details on Flight Stats - great link. Simple email written in 2 minutes just outlining my delay time, distance of journey and quoted the EC regulation. Imagine my surprise when I receive an email back with 30 minutes stating the reason of delay was pilot illness, this is not classed as extraordinary and therefore I am entitled to 250 euros per passenger. All documents sent to me immediately to facilitate refund. Excellent service from Easyjet, think it goes to show if your claim is 100% to the ruling then they pay straight away......Martin Lewis you are a legend!!

That could not be further from the truth. But when it does happen, it's a great result!
