Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Jet2.com ONLY

This would be a small claim and the fee is only about £40. Try a NBA letter first as these days airlines frequently surrender at that point. As above claim in all the names.0

Hi all, I'm new to this so I'm really sorry if this has been put out there already.
I have contacted Jet2 using the resolver tool, I have given them all of the appropriate details the information I do have is my boarding pass/booking confirmation. They came back to me initially and advised I could put in a data access request and they would provide the information as a cost per passenger. My point to them was, if they had the information - instead of selling it back to be they should utilise the information they have. Am I being unreasonable? Previously I had a refund for my extra leg-room seats as they were not honoured on the flight, I did not have to give any additional information than I have already provided to Jet2 and my point is that if they could access the information before with the information given, then surely they can do the same? Any help would be great, Thanks G0 -
What information do you need from them? If you have a boarding pass you can prove you were on the flight.
Are you asking for the reason for the delay?0 -
Previously I had a refund for my extra leg-room seats as they were not honoured on the flight
The only reason for requesting boarding cards is that most people discard them & without them Jet2 will argue that you can't prove you were on the flight. You don't have to - under EU261 my understanding is that the consideration a judge would make if a case went to court is that "in the balance of probability" you presented yourself for check-in. If you can trace the correspondence / transaction when the refund for the seats was issued, you can most likely demonstrate that they have already acknowledged your presence on the flight & that you don't need a boarding card to prove that you were. Other evidence that has been used in other cases includes dated passport security stamps, duty-free / refreshment payments on credit-card statements etc...
Above all don't give up, keep at them. If you haven't done so already, download & thoroughly digest Vauban's Guide, then decide whether to fight Jet2 yourself or use a NWNF lawyer.
Good Luck.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Old debt passed to collection agency? Issue CCA request & possibly have debt rendered unenforceable. Feb 2021 - £42 of old debt legally written off & cost £1 per account.0 -

On reading gpiper30's original post, I believe the above was meant to say "...information I don't have...."- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Well if that's the case, and you are sure it's a tech delay, don't user resolver. It sounds like they're going to give you the run-around.
Just issue an NBA and threaten them with court. The fact that they have already partially refunded you will prove you were on the flight. And if it's a straight forward case they should pay up.
Edit: I took them to court and all I had was a confirmation email. It was good enough in the end even though they asked for "...strict proof ... blah blah blah...".0 -
gpiper - Jet2 will play silly !!!!!!s with you, sometimes all the way to court. Show your resolve, issue and NBA and get on with it. They will do anything to put you off. Unfortunately they succeed all to often.....If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Is there an online compensation claim form for Jet2? A friend was asking and I can't find one anywhere on the website. (why am I not surprised?)If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

As far as I know there isn't it's just a case of writing to Low Fare Finder house.
An automated process is a good idea though, it could be as easy as booking a flight, somehow I think it will take them some time to come onboard. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!
