    About 6 hours delayed
    From Leeds to Heraklion
    June 2014

I applied via jet 2 with all help letters from this site
    They put case on hold
I contacted caa...they got in touch with jet2 and again said it was on hold
I heard latest court case ruling so emailed jet2 asking to reopen
The case a couple month ago
    Heard nothing until this morning

Thanks for the additional info, since it wasn't a court case, you wouldn't be successful in trying to argue for a better exchange rate, but since it was a recent delay, you're not at a terrible disadvantage, you're doing the right thing by going back to them, and asking for further payment for the additional passenger, obviously reference your claim and acknowledge that they have already paid out on that flight.

For your information, this is the FIRST case that I have heard of in here where Jet2 have paid out on a flight, without the usual court action.

So well done and keep going....

    Cheers,

    NoviceAngel  :T:T

Is this now the end of our flight with Jet2? Cases being paid without any form of legal action :j

@JPears Time to get your daughters claim in boss, and when they pay out, stick yours in again, highlighting that they paid out on your daughters, you never know, left hand and right hand ;)

amyegg2k, is the first claim I'm heard of, let's just hope it isn't a one off and finally they are paying cases and not going with Ryanirs latest deplorable antics:mad:

    Cheers,

    Thanks
I've emailed them with all references in the letter to see if I can get my partners money since he was a fellow passenger and if I get paid then he should get paid.
I never even considered the exchange rate ... I'm happy with what I got..,happy to even get any money by the sounds of things

Hopefully you lot will hear something soon

I make that a 1.38 exchange rate which is probably about right at todays rate.

the email never worked... they replied saying I need to send a letter through the post as that's the way they are dealing with it,
I also got an email from caa today confirming I should be getting my compensation.... so ive forwarded that with my letter to jet2 for my partners claim

    Hello!

I made a claim to Jet2 last year for a flight which was delayed 7 hours, Manchester to Alicante. It was my partner, his brother and nephew on the flight.

This weekend we received two cheques each for £291 for my partner and his brother, so just waiting for the nephew's now. (Will chase by letter this week!)

    But very happy! :D

Congratulations and well done, did you simply write to Jet2 or did you commence legal action?

    Good result,
