Same old, same old. But interestingly Jet2 couldn't come up with a reason for not observing the six-year time limit and could not quote any precedent cases.0

Interesting that Kevin, shares are view (or do we share his!) that the two year time bar will need to be sorted at the SC level.
It's obvious that with the recent postings in here, that Jet2 are now paying out without the need for legal action, but these cases must be ones that are not affected with the time bar.

You can bet any settlement would have been 'Skid' marked with 'Private and confidential save as to costs.'
But well done from me, :T:beer::T
PS that's almost as subtle as mine when I received good news! After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Well....things are definately changing....wrote my first standard claim letter to J2 about 4 weeks ago regarding a pretty standard delay of about 6 hours which happened last summer. Included all the relevant information and copies of boarding passes etc etc fully expecting for it to be the start of a long drawn out process of claim and counter claim..... blow me down with a feather....without any further correspondence, questioning , denials or prevarication, received 2 cheques this morning in full and final settlement....and.....an apology for any inconvenience!!!!!!! Well done Jet2 ....I won't hear a word said against them:T:beer::T0

Congrats on your success, but I can think of a few members on here that would not agree 100% with that. Me included, but indeed, a very good result for you.

In order to avoid CAA action against them under the enterprise act they have HAD to start complying.
Probably they'll do just enough to prevent prosecution, but no more. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -

I think we should let bye gone's be by gone's now. I haven't been on here for a while as just didn't have the dedication, but today I am one happy camper as just received a cheque from Jet2!
I for one will be putting my cash to good use and will be donating half to the 'Victims of Bad Dentistry' relief fund. A cause very close to my heart after some over sharpened veneers sliced through my bottom lip.
If that's not your bag can I suggest another cause to get behind? Corruption in the construction industry needs stamping out. If I need to bribe one more builder with a sausage roll it will be the death of me!
Time to book a holiday I think!0 -

I first wrote to Jet2 on 18th February 2013 and they keep telling me that my case needs to be fully investigated (when it already has been) and that they deal with correspondence in strict date order!:mad:0 -
