It is odd to include that in their written submission: if Ryanair want to settle, it would be for them to do the chasing, I imagine: after all, they know where you live.
If Ryanair wish to save themselves the further costs they would inevitably incur by continuing to resist your legitimate claim, then you might signal you're reasonable enough to take their call. But I would be clear, esp post Huzar, that you're not in the market for compromising your statutory entitlement. Though you might offer to waive interest?
Sorry i should have been clearer. The offer to call was on a seperate letter that was attached to a copy of their submission. Thank you for the advice.0 -

Re above I am claiming 1200 euros - so does that mean a £70 court fee? Also do I claim interest ? if so from what date?
Many thanks0 -
And another....three copies of Form A. One for the court, one for me and I send the other one to ryanair? or do all three copies go to the court?

At todays exchange rate then yes £70 will cover your court fees which you will get back when you have won your case.
Interest is claimable from the day after you suffered your delay/cancellation.
3 copies of your Form A (and any other evidence you submit at this point) is needed for the court- of course keep a copy of everything for yourself.Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

Hi, I'm back. I just wanted to clarify something. I sent my Form A to Sheffield County Court but now I have been told that the fee I need to pay is £280, am I right in thinking this is incorrect and it is £70 according to the site listed here. I'm not sure the person I spoke to new too much about European small claims because she also told me I can claim, which would be cheaper, on the moneyclaim gov site, which is for Uk based claims only from what I can see. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thank you.0

Sue,
You have hit your first hurdle in your claim, which is disappointing and I find a little surprising as Sheffield Combined Court Centre is where my claim was processed.
Admittedly they needed a bit of help (from me) and we got there eventually.
Your fee sounds about right depending on the amount you are claiming and not the ridiculous figure of £280!!!!
I'd send the court a copy of the links I provided in post 622 firstly of the process and secondly of the applicable fees.
You cannot use MCOL online as you are claiming against a non UK based company so the ESCP is the process to do this.
I'll send you a PM with a few more useful details....

Looks like its not just the airlines that need to keep up to speed with EU laws - HM Courts need a swift kick in the right direction too .....
Too right my friend..as inept as the CAA by the amount of queries I get about the ESCP from consumers forced into being LIP's...
UK Courts need a couple of those ' teacher training days'...Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

Thank you for your replies and help.
It doesn't give me much confidence in using Sheffield county court but I will of course let you know how I get on.
Thank you again.
