My claim is in respect of the air Crew strike in 2018.
I've tried via Resolver and Aviation DVR with no success so I'm now trying to pursue the claim through the Irish courts.
1. Has anyone tried to do this
2. the court requires a telephone number for Ryanair which is proving elusive to find. Can anyone help please0 -

My girlfriend was supposed to come back from Sardegna (Italy) with Ryanair. At the airport she found out her flight was cancelled due to power cut-out at Manchester Airport and the plane couldn't be refuelled. She was offered accommodation but was told to book a new ticket herself. They could only offer her their ticket for Wednesday but Italian air staff is starting a strike on Tuesday, so the flight is not guaranteed and was thus advised to leave Italy ASAP. So she booked the only available flight for tomorrow to London Gatwick. Then she would have to catch a train which would be very expensive. Ryanair staff told her it would be refunded. Would she be able to claim the compensation too?

Our Ryanair was cancelled in summer 2018, due to the staff strikes. We promptly had our claim rejected by Ryanair, and took it up with AviationADR.
Our claim is therefore 'on hold' due to the CAA action, with no further info. Are we best just waiting, or taking this further?
Thanks0 -

Quite probably as her flight was not directly affected by the fuel problem at Man.
She should use the Ryanair app or website to put in a claim and see what they say.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -

Hi,
AFAIK the CAA are still pursuing Ryanair, so I would contact the CAA or AviationADR and ask them. Please let us know what they say as this affect lots of passengers.
I don't think there is any way of taking this further ATM.

Ryanair actually have a claim form on their website. Just fill it in and email it to them.

I am unsure how to proceed with my claim against Ryanair:
Flight FR2418 on 22nd July 2018 was rescheduled six days before the departure date and that same flight was then 42 minutes late on top of their new three hours later arrival time. Which meant I could claim compensation.
However, Ryanair is now claiming that I was emailed 18 days before the departure date about the change in departure time. This means I wouldn't be entitled to compensation.
"Article 5 of the Regulation governs the eligibility for compensation of passengers
whose flights are cancelled. Applying the CJEU’s ruling in Sturgeon v. Condor and
Bock & Ors. v. Air France (Joined Cases C-402/07 and C-432/07), the same applies
equally to passengers whose flights are delayed on arrival by at least three hours.
The Article provides as follows (emphasis added):
1. In case of cancellation of a flight, the passengers concerned shall:
(c) have the right to compensation by the operating air carrier in accordance
with Article 7, unless:
(i) they are informed of the cancellation at least two weeks before
the scheduled time of departure;”"
But! I didn't receive an email and I strongly suspect Ryanair are lying.
1. I received a text six days before the flight departure and it seems strange that Ryanair wouldn't send both a text and email together. Why send an email 18 days before then a text 6 days before?
2. I had flight updates on my phone so why did it only update the flight times six days before?
3. The email in their court papers (the one they claimed they sent me) requests me to confirm the flight change as I didn't do that doesn't it reconfirm I didn't receive the email?
4. In almost a year of back and forth arguing this is the first time, they've claimed they sent an email.
I suppose my only hope is if anyone else was due to fly that day and can confirm they weren't informed 18 days before? Or if there is somewhere I can check flight schedule changes?0 -
Have they provided a copy of the email and proof it was sent from their SMTP server?0

This was the copy they sent me:

Is this enough evidence that it was sent from their email?0
