I'm trying to establish if the flight times were changed, the flight was cancelled or if you've been bumped, hence why I asked for the flight number.

The only other flight is at 15.05, allowing you a 1h25m transfer time, is that doable?

  • My original booking was departing MAN at 1815 arriving into BFS 1920 - unfortunately I deleted my confirmation once I saw it on 'My Ryanair' and now cant confirm the original flight number. I did happen to write down the timings during planning! There now appears to be only the one flight that day at 0630.

No, there are two, so is it doable? If not, it is pretty tight and leaves no wriggle room if you arrive slightly late, you could accept the offer to fly on the 9th if that suites your party.

You would remain in the care of Ryanair during that period. They should pre arrange hotel accommodation - including transport to and from, meals, drinks (no alcohol tho) etc

If they refuse they would be breaking the regulation. Given the time
period between now and then, they really have no excuse not to.

I know it's not easy but try to get whatever they offer, or refuse, in writing.

    Hi good people of MSE.

Posting regarding Ryanair flight FR9283 from Faro to Stansted on 27th April, which was delayed by 6h 44 mins due to a technical fault. A problem was identified with our plane as we were boarding, and we were sent back to the gate. They needed to source another plane from Stansted. After the fact, it looked unnervingly like Ryanair were trying to blame storm Hannah for the delay... not the technical fault.

I sent them a few pages of evidence with the claim on departures / landings info and twitter posts to try to circumvent a "your plane was delayed due to storm Hannah and this is an extraordinary event, EU261 is not applicable etc etc". Just received confirmation from them that we will be getting EU800 :)

Posting here just in case it proves useful to others on that flight!

Please can I ask what time was showing on the cancellation email?

The reason I ask is when we were called to the gate, and we waiting, they announced (first via shouting, then via tannoy) it was delayed and await further information.

Then when I sat down and looked on Ryanair website it said cancelled, before it was announced in the seating area.

Then I received 3 texts (for the 3 bookings on the flight) and only as we walked through back to passport control did the emails come through.

Did they ever intend to operate the flight?

Why would the email have a time at 01:00?

Also, at the time of going through the gate the Easyjet flight to Prague from Manchester on Saturday was £110, but by the time through passport control, it was sold out.

Like yourself, I struggle to understand, why they could not bus the passengers to Manchester and fly to Prague from there?

Please keep us updated on the claim.

I see that my fellow forum user on the same flight has been paid out

There were 3 passengers on individual bookings in our group and I arranged and paid for it all

I made one claim a while ago and have waited to claim on the others

I was refunded the flight and rejected for compensation

I have tried to make the claim for compensation and it doesnt allow me to via the website, so how do I proceed - Is it another website or via post?

Thanks in advance for any assistance

is it better to file for cancelled flight through Ryanair or send a letter
    https://eu261compensationclaims.ryanair.com/

The above is what Ryanair sent to me to claim but is it better or any different to send the letter template from MSE

...but seems Ryanair are not the easiest to claim from

My flight Limoges to East Midlands was cancelled at the airport and nothing else said, other than cancelled. Was told I could rebook or be refunded. As a rebook 2 days later was useless for me I have requested a refund

Apparently I can claim £250 for this too. Ryanair have said nothing but directed me to their linkhttps://eu261compensationclaims.ryanair.com/

Is it better to claim through them or use the letter template to claim. Reading here, it seems they will do anything not to pay out.

I also had a hotel booked for a family reunion which I obviously missed and paid £160 for.

    Help please is best approach
