Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Ryanair ONLY

Thanks for further advice, much appreciated.

My only hesitation is there does seem to be a lot of delays at the airport on afternoon of 4/4/19...

...not sure if this is 'normal' or whether there was general problem. You mentioned earlier you thought everything was operating as it should be at Milan MXP so perhaps this is just the usual number of delays?!

Their letter will suffice as a deadlock letter so you can now move on to the next step.

It is important to raise a complaint with the CAA, they will give you their opinion on whether you have a valid claim, but just as importantly, it will raise a red flag against Ryanair. I don't see anything out of the ordinary, lots of cancellations would be more of an indicator imo.

All looked okay at LPL too, no holding or go arounds etc.

Check what Botts say, it's free, and maybe check a few historic weather forecasts from around Europe on that day to get a feel for the weather generally.

The question still remains, why would Ryanair leave your aircraft at LPL for 19 hours?

Just want to say a massive thank you for the help and advice I got from this forum

after our Ryanair Flight was cancelled last Oct to Prague from Liverpool

I have just checked my bank account to find 500 Euros paid by Ryanair

this was after ADR agreed with Ryanair on safety grounds that the flight was cancelled due to high winds (even though no other flights where effected by these so called winds)

however ADR agreed with us on the fact they never did enough or proved why they never bussed us all to Manchester to catch the flight that left empty to Prague.

really didn't expect to get paid out so soon after the final decision by ADR

so once again Thank You to all the helpful posts and the regular contributors to this forum

One of the few occasions the second hurdle for compensation has been used as the deciding factor for compensation. Well done.

HI, I know this may have been covered but I cant find a circumstance teh same as mine. Ryanair have just cancelled my flight from Manchester to Belfast on 7th July and moved me to the 0630 flight the same day - problem is we dont arrive into Manchester until 1340 from Italy with Ryanair. They have refused to move me onto the 1940 flight from Manchester to Belfast with Easyjet and would only accommodate me on the 0630 flight on the following day Tuesday 8th July. We are happy enough to move to the 9th flight. What are we entitled to (overnight hotel accomodation, food etc) all claimed from Ryanair and when do I do the claim - now or after 8th July? If I get a refund from RA and book the Easyjet flights same day what am I entitled to - its 2 adults, 2 7 year olds and a 3 year old if that makes any difference! Thanks in advance!

A guy I know was supposed to get compensation from ryanair. They kept ignoring him, until he sent an email threatening court action. The very next day he got an email saying the cheque is on the way... You have to know who your dealing with.
