Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Ryanair ONLY

We were delayed in August 2014 for 4hours 36minutes due to a technical fault. At the time I asked for compensation and they denied it citing "extraordinary circumstances". But then this week's MSE email prompted me to read the articles and I learned that a there has since been an EU ruling clarifying that technical faults are rarely extraordinary, so I'm having another go.
- Logged complaint yesterday and attached Ryanair's own statement that we landed 4h 36m late.
- Today got a reply saying "the flight was delayed by less than 3 hours" and they've closed the case.

thought my geography wasn't that bad!

1567km

2127km
so if as you claim, they've paid you for Madrid they've paid you too much.
Maybe you can check everything and come back to us?The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Both distances are over 1500km so 400euro is due which ever airport they said you went to. 250euro is for distances under 1500km. If they paid you 250euro for the flight to Madrid they are saying the flight distance is under 1500km when it is over 2000km0

I'm not sure if this fits here. It is directly related to Ryanair but it might be larger and applicable more to the regulation.
I've just had my flight brought forward by two days. I know it's common to change by a few hours but two days is too far surely.
Ryanair are saying that because the flight is not cancelled, they owe me nothing other than a refund. I'm trying to see if there is anything in the EC regulation that outlines what constitutes a cancellation (else they could technically move a flight by months or years to avoid paying out!) but it only defines a cancellation as a non-running of a flight. The flight (FR2418) appears to run almost once per day (flightradar24), so if they've moved it from the Sunday to the Friday, won't they then be running the same flight twice, unless they cancelled the Friday one (don't know how to find this out).0 -
How much notice have they given you?0

Looks like it is 6 days per week, excluding Saturdays.
What is your exact itinerary? Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -

Hmm how bizarre?!
I'll paste the portion of the letter that I'd received. (When you google the flight number it even comes up as Krakow to Manchester too)
"We sincerely regret the delay on your flight FR2142 from Krakow to Madrid on the 12/03/2018.
We wish to confirm that a cheque for the sum of 221.03 GBP (equivalent to 250 EUR per customer) has been authorised by Ryanair in full and final settlement of your claim under EU 261. Please allow 10 working days to receive this cheque to the above address."
I'm thoroughly confused now.
My claim form is near identical to my friends form, except for different names of course, and his claim went through as normal at the correct compensation rate.
I've went back and checked my forms and letters and all have the correct flight number and the correct airports. There isn't even a mention of Madrid on any of my forms.0 -
As I said before the flight distance is over 2000km which means your compensation would be 400euro. Euclaim confirm it was to Manchester and that you are due 400euro. All you can do is contact them telling them you will be sending a letter before action and if need be will be issuing court proceedings in the small claims court.0

I believe this is a cancellation. There is no flight on the Sunday 3rd June? And still only 1 flight on the Friday 1st June?
I think any judge would find in your favour.
Its just another pathetic example of how Ryanair seek to mislead or obfuscate the passenger. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
