    Hello!

I had a flight with Ryanair at the beginning of March that was delayed. The delay and flight distance meant I was entitled to 400 euros.

I used Resolver to process the claim and Ryanair got back to me quickly to inform me that I would be compensated and that I was entitled to 250 euros because of the flight distance but they were compensating me for a wrong flight. My flight was from Poland to UK with a distance of 1550km or so but they had put my flight down as being from Poland to Spain which was a shorter distance and put me in a different compensation bracket.

I emailed them back within hours of receiving the email confirming my compensation to let them know about the error but I haven't had any response.

I emailed another couple of times and at the moment it's been escalated using Resolver up to CEO level but I haven't had any response from any of these emails or escalation.

I went back and checked my form and all of my details are correct. I don't know where they've got the other flight from.
I had friends on the flight who have been compensated for the appropriate amount and we have the same information on our forms except for names/booking refs etc.

They've sent me a cheque for the lower compensation amount but I haven't banked this as I don't want them to take that as the case being settled.

Any advice you have is appreciated. If theres anything that might need clarification then let me know.
Should I submit a fresh claim? or keep escalating? The next option to escalate to is the Civil Aviation Office in Poland in 2 weeks

Forget escalating to the Polish CAA you landed in the UK nothing to do with Poland. Contact Ryanair and tell them you will be sending the cheque back. Did you use their website for your claim?. If so now tell them you will be sending them a letter before action giving them 14 days to pay the correct amount but check your details again and make sure you are on solid ground.

We were delayed in August 2014 for 4hours 36minutes due to a technical fault. At the time I asked for compensation and they denied it citing "extraordinary circumstances". But then this week's MSE email prompted me to read the articles and I learned that a there has since been an EU ruling clarifying that technical faults are rarely extraordinary, so I'm having another go.
    • Logged complaint yesterday and attached Ryanair's own statement that we landed 4h 36m late.
    • Today got a reply saying "the flight was delayed by less than 3 hours" and they've closed the case.
This has all gone through Resolver... so I just used the reply button to email back, I've told them they are wrong, re-sent them the same attachment and asked them to reopen the case. Is that the right procedure?

looks and sounds dodgy, what were the actual airports used?
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

I booked a return ticket and this was the return journey of the trip.
I didn't stop in Spain, they've just sent me compensation for a flight to Spain that I never had/bought. My flight was direct from Krakow to Manchester.
    My flight number was FR2142
