https://www.flight-delayed.co.uk/strikeMany strikes and the actions resulting from it are announced in advance. In that case, the airline has the opportunity to make alternative arrangements. When this is the case, passengers may be entitled to financial compensation.
Think this was the first I saw. Few more too, not sure how reputable the sites are though to be fair.0 -
Yes but this article is talking about a strike by airline staff, not Air Traffic Control, Very different scenario. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Finally recieved cheque for £1224 in post today!
But the surname and first name have been swapped around....
Not sure if Bank will accept.
This has been ongoing since 21st January when they accepted claim.
4 passengers delayed for over 3 hours from Malta to Luton.
First bank transfer was advised then after 6 weeks, told that a cheque would be posted. Recieved phone call today cheque pout in post on March 15th.
But the letter accompanying cheque is dated March 24th.
Oh well let's see of Bank accept cheque now.0 -
If you take the letter from the airline, your bank will probably accept it although they may not notice0

Just been to bank and cashier didn't bat an eyelid!
Now just have to wait for it to clear!
Just to warn others! It is not easy to get information from Ryanair Customer Services.
Keep emailing and asking for update.
I did email Head of Customer Services but no direct email back. Just a phone call to say cheque in post.
Just be persistent and keep chasing what is rightfully yours!0 -
All done! Cheque has cleared into account
Thank you to you all for your guidance.0 -

Glad there are some successful outcomes here but I am at end of tether with Form N510 that MCOL insist I have to fill in, but no one can help with what box to tick.
I have contacted MCOL (they obviously won't help), CAB, solicitors, local court and Civil Legal Advice and no one know which box I need to tick on this confounded form.
I have read every single post and there is no reference as to what box to tick. It is Part 2 I know but which one?
This all started following Dr Watson's advice on post 569 which is not the correct procedure as Form N510 is now required.
Please help!0 -
I've no idea about the form and not sure what stage you are at? Can you use MCOl for the ESCP forms? I thought you had to use a local court? perhaps N510 is not required at this stage - see link?

birkhill007,
How are you intending to pursue a legal claim against RA? If you are using ESCP then form N510 is not required.
See here:-
