Yes. If the money is attractive then it is surely worth pursuing? See FAQs on page one, etc etc.0

Thanks, but I did look throough that, but could not find anything relating to outside contractor damage or countries outside EU.0

Think you have maybe been a bit literal expecting to find your precise circumstances dealt with. If you read the FAQs, you will understand enough about the scope of the legislation to see how/if it fits your experience.0 -

I was not looking for a precise situation but something in the ballpark, or maybe somebody who had experienced a similar situation.0 -

If the FAQs are too much to read, then consider going down the NWNF route. You will have to do a lot more than read the FAQs if you plan to take this seriously ...
[PS If you want some background on contractor responsbility, have a search for "contractor" and you get nearly thirty posts with different experiences.]0 -

Getting compensation without assistance is for the tenacious and the wide awake, probably best to go to a nwnf solicitor.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Thanks all for your replies.
I'll have one pop at them and see how it goes. I realise that it is probably not worth the effort but I assume these large companies rely on our apathy to let them off the hook time and again.
Sadly they are usually correct.0 -

Well if you can't be @rsed, why not pass to a NWNF company? 70% of something is surely better than nowt?0 -
5 of us were flying to Belfast and 15 mins before boarding Flybe discovered that the Southampton flight due to take off was faulty so they gave our plane to them. This resulted in a 2 hour and 40 min delay for us we all missed our connections to Dublin for the Rugby final despite repeatedly informing Flybe of the situation. 3 seven seater Taxis took 18 us from Belfast to Dublin at a cost of £200 per Taxi which a Flybe customer rep said would be refunded later. Flybe staff admitted in front of most of the passengers that they gave our flight to Southampton. What compensation or out of pocket expenses are we due ? Thanks.0

Your delay was less than 3 hours so EU compensation does not apply.
Flybe would have been contracted to get you to Belfast so unusual of them saying they would pay your travel to Dublin, did you get this in writing?0
