Again BA are wrong and it is pathetic they are arguing over !!!8364;50. How many of you were traveling?
Did you make/mark your last communication an NBA?
If so it's court time. If just yourself then MCOL, if more than 1 then conventional N1 paper form.

Yes they have been offered the same compensation , although initially they were not offered the Avios alternative.

I've now received my own reply from BA and again they are insistent with their point of view that the first journey JFK to LHR cannot be counted towards the total distance travelled

Thanks for coming back to us about your delayed flight to Newcastle. You’re clearly unhappy with the compensation we’ve offered you and I understand why, but hopefully I can explain our position to you below.

As we’ve discussed previously, you were able to board flight BA1334. This means your previous delayed flight to London Heathrow, BA0182, didn't have a knock-on effect on your itinerary. As flight to London Heathrow didn't directly affect your final arrival time in Newcastle, I'm afraid we can't consider the distance of this flight when calculating how much compensation you're due. This means we won't be able to offer any more compensation or a larger amount of Avios as an alternative. I'm sorry to let you down as it's clear you expected more from us. I hope you'll understand we need to be consistent in our approach to situations like this so we're fair to all of our customers.

Thanks again for getting in touch. We really appreciate your support as a Blue Executive Club member and I hope our decision won’t stop you from choosing to fly with us again. Please use the blue link below to contact me directly if I can help with any other separate issues.

    Best regards

We flew yesterday from Algiers to Barcelona. Flight sat on the tarmac for an hour before taking off so we arrived too late to board our connecting flight to Heathrow. We were one of the first off the plane and ran as fast as we could to the transit area so they accepted that it wasn't our fault. The plane doors had opened at about 11.05 and gate closed at 11.10 as our next flight was scheduled for 11.55.
We ended up getting a flight to Gatwick instead and doors opened at approx 18.40. Our original TOA at LHR should have been 13.10.

Even though the booking was with BA the flights were both on Vueling planes.

Do we claim directly to BA and if so, what do we put as the flight number as 3 flights were involved (first flight that was delayed, original connecting flight and eventual new flight)?

I have been reading through Vaudan's very helpful guide but can't figure out this one.
Any help would be appreciated please.

Sorry if I wasted anyone's time reading that last post. I had originally gone on a flight compensation website that was not as clear as Bott.
Having looked back at Vaudan's guide, I have now lodged the claim directly with BA as it looks like it's pretty clear cut and I don't want to pay fees ( of 25% plus £25 administration per claimant plus £75) for something which I can do myself for free.
