To put it bluntly, they are dicking you around. Or subtly, it's procrastination.
Cut to the chase, send an NBA. Get your money.
Then send a letter of complaint to the toothless, couldn't give a f%@k CAA

Not like you to sit on the fence when talking about the chocolate fireguard better known as the CAA.

I just want to vent for a min - my TUI return flight was delayed by 24 hours and 45 minutes due to technical issues at the UK side which meant that the crew had worked too long.

Everything to claim pushed me towards doing it through a web form where I submitted all information and supplementary bits and pieces. I didn't get any sort of acknowledgement after submission so a few weeks later emailed TUI to make sure that I had a record of contacting and to make sure they had my claim.

So far I've had nothing from them and rang earlier in the week to be told nothing was on the system from my original claim - but it could take 56 days to be added to the system - but they had noted a claim just in my name (2 x passengers on booking) which they had picked up from the email I sent chasing up the info I submitted. I'm so annoyed by this as I feel like I've done everything that they wanted but it might now get messed up. She also told me that email queries get picked up quicker than web forms which is why they've actioned my chaser email but not picked up my actual claim yet - surely this isn't right?!

The TUI person I spoke to was keen to say that just because it wasn't on yet it might just mean it's waiting to be added. I'm tempted to resend the info I have just so that they can't delay anything. They've been a bit rubbish throughout tbh so I totally don't trust them.

From my own experience and reading numerous posts on here I get the impression Tui stall at every step of the process and hope that you give up. Just persevere and hopefully after numerous delays you will get there.

Well todays deadline has come and gone and no contact from tui or cedr.

Spoke to cedr who said we have to wait until today deadline has passed and then they can chase up tui who have to abide by cedr decision. So will recontact Monday.

Based on my response from Tui after CEDR ruled in my favour, Tui posted on the CEDR chain and asked for my bank details and then suggested payment to my account in 20 days. Why not pre-empt Tui and post the following on CEDR chain:
Bank name, account holders name, acct no & sort code.
Then when Tui ask for it they already have it so keeps the process moving

Phoned CEDR again this morning as 13/7 deadline has now passed.

Advised by CEDR that decision is binding on TUI to pay & that case will be passed to a Case Manager to contact TUI directly to chase up. Apparently the case officer provides their case manager with a list of 'non payments' to contact airline directly suggesting this isn't an uncommon occurrence.

How do the airlines get away with this???

My case has been updated and Tui have posted a copy of what looks like an internal request for bank transfer and message that this should be in my account within 10 days.

Sorry I’m new to this but want to know if there is anyone else in my position. Flew from Man to Dalaman 2/6/18 on TOM818 flight. Scheduled departure 21.00 but left at 00.13 on 3/6/18. Scheduled arrival time in Dalaman was 03.20 local time. Actual arrival time was 06.33 so 3hrs and 13mins late. I’ve put in a claim but Tui have twice responded with totally different scheduled times! They will not acknowledge my claim and have now closed my claim down. They claim my scheduled arrival time was 00.20 but I only set off 7 mins prior to that!!! What chances of compensation do I have?!?!

    Hi Nick,

Nothing unusual Im afraid to say, just another normal day in the office for the regulars here.

So long as you were over 3 hours late upon arrival, and you do seem to have the times, you are due compensation with one provision, that the reason for the delay was not due to an EC.

Read Vaughans great guide to Stuart with, details below here. Then send them a LBA to get their attention.

    Good luck
