Unfortunately Justice13075 is right, Thomson play the delay game so people give up, they are a disgrace when it comes to flight delay compensation.0
-
Genska, download Vaubans guide and follow it to the letter but be prepared Thomsons are likely to be very difficult and throw obstructions in your way, use delay tactics so you lose interest etc etc
You must be prepared to play the long game with them, good luck.0 -
Don't play the long game! 2 letters then off to court. Simple. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I was delayed on a Thomson flight from Iceland on the 2nd January for 6 hours. I made a claim using the compensation tool on this website. they have replied that they will not compensate me or my family as the delay was due to a flight manager becoming ill on the incoming flight and this is classed as exceptional circumstances. So they do not need to offer compensation.. Any advice would be appreciated0

Not exceptional circs. Read Vauban's guide, issue NBA and either diy or nwnf. Please put further posts on the Thomson's thread.0

This is absolute rubbish, Thomsons are just trying to fob you off. In a way they have made it easy for you as already given you a defence that won't stand up in court.
Download Vaubans guide and follow it word for word, start with a NBA - Notice Before Action. Vaubans guide gives you an example template to use. Send it to Thomson Airways Limited, Customer Legal Services, Wigmore House, Wigmore Lane, Luton, LU2 9TN.
Its unlikely they will pay out and force you down the county court proceedings which will be against "Thomson Airways Limited", you can do it online for a single claim or will have to be paper copy if multiple claims.
It does take time, patience and bit of effort but worth it !0 -
This is the Thomson thread for any further questions

Hi. I was also on the Barbados - Glasgow flight of 4th December 2016 that diverted via Tenerife. Have submitted a claim through Resolver and have escalated it to the next level. Haven't even had an automatic response! is this usual? Any advice for next steps to take. Am ready for the long game!0

I would consider using CEDR instead. They cannot simply ignore you once you are on the CEDR conveyor belt, plus you keep all of your compensation.

Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
Well its taken a while but we have finally received our compensation from Thomson, 187 days since we started our claim but definitely worth the wait.
Thanks for all the advice everyone0
