  • "reactionary delay" That's a new one on me What will they come up with next. You are right they are wrong. Read Vaubans guide send a letter before action and give them 14 days to respond. All in the guide. I think you can only claim up to £2.000 per application so you might need to split up the 9 applications. Someone will put me straight if I am wrong.

Brilliant, just the confirmation I needed! Knew I wasn't going completely nuts!

Okay, they were on 3 booking references, so would you suggest sending 2 (almost identical) emails off still, or will different booking references be sufficient for "different claims"?

Send them a letter before action you will find it in vaubans guide. I would put the three reference numbers in the letter. If they refuse to pay you either issue court proceedings against them or pass it to a No Win No Fee solicitor.

    All explained in Vaubans guide

Hiya! I sent a claim to Thomson 14 days ago. But they advise 56 days for flight claims. Is it generally the 56 days they take to reply or do I follow up aftwr 14 days? TIA

You should follow it up as soon as you want. You don't have to comply with their self stated timescale. It also depends on when the flight was, especially if you are getting close to the 6 year limit

Thank you. It was October 2014. I did put 600 euros on the claim but since found out this is incorrect and its 400 euros but I assumed they would rectify this whenoaying out anyway. Lol. Sorry this is all new to me so getting my head round it still. How is best to contact them for a reply. For the claim I submitted the form from their website. TIA

I have called them up to find out the progress and the fact I have received no response within my timescale and the person I spoke to advised it can take up to 56 days. She said she would email the relevant team and I need to await a reply. I asked how long this would take, she said she doesn't know. I asked her for the email address which she give me. I also made sure to take her name.

Shall I now email them to chase up a response? Do I also admit the fact I made a mistake on putting 600 euros per person instead of 400 euros person? Lol/ TIA

What legal magpie said. You are entitled to work to your timetable but your next step would probably be to issue a NBA. I doubt they will be politely persuaded to expedite your case. They are probably knee deep in claims!

Notice Before Action sometimes known as a Letter Before Action There is a template letter in Vaubans guide. If you've not read Vaubans guide type Vaubans Guide into Google get a pot of coffee and read.
