Thank you for the replies. Im sure I put 600 euros in my claim (oops) but assume if they payout they will pay the correct amount of 400 euros? Lol.

Sorry there were 2 adults and a 2yr old who we paid for/had seats for. The 11 mnth old travelled as an infant so we only paid admin fee so I assume it will be three I have claimed for.

Click the above link. Bott & Co say even if you only pay an admin fee for your child they are also due compensation. So that is 4 lots not 3.

Don't miss out on another €400 compensation

Ah I never realised that. Well I had put down 600€ pp on the claim so I had requested 200 too much in that case. Hopefully they wont just reject it. Lol. Thanks very much for the help!

Hi Can anyone on here tell me if that have successfully got compensation for the delayed flight after the Island Escape Cruise returning on 29.04.2014?

I have had a response from Thomson stating that our flight was scheduled to arrive at 21.45 (Greenwich Mean Time) whereas the actual arrival time was 21.55 (Greenwich Mean Time). The flight was delayed by 10 minutes; therefore you are not entitled to compensation in line with the regulation.

But we should have arrived at East midlands airport at 13.05pm. They transferred us to Manchester. Now they are ignoring all my emails through Resolver.

According to Flightstats your flight was cancelled. Did they give you any reason for the cancellation?. If it wasn't extraordinary circumstances you are due €400 per passenger.

We were told the flight was delayed but they wouldn't tell us why. They gave us some vouchers to buy lunch and were told to keep checking every half an hour to see when we would be able to fly. We found out around 17.30 pm that we were being diverted to Manchester as East Midlands was closed due to a plane crash. We left Palma at 19.05.We got into East Midlands airport by coach transfer from Manchester after midnight. There were no coaches waiting for us as we were told there would be. We waited over an hour for 2 to turn up.
  • Hi guys,

my grandma has posted on here before about not finding my flight on flightstats. Quick update - the dates I gave were 100% correct, and we have now been paid out for 1 of our 2 flights. Happy days!

However, I'm having trouble with my second claim.

Thomson got back to me today claiming that due to "adverse weather" there was a "reactionary delay" and as such they could not process my claim. If I recall correctly, our plane was in Geneva and couldn't get to us due to weather. It was my initial understanding that "adverse weather" only comes into play when it directly affects my flight waiting to take off, rather than any knock on effects...

Are they just trying to put me off? We're claiming for 9 people so they may have an incentive to put us off.

Thanks in advance of your help!

"reactionary delay" That's a new one on me What will they come up with next. You are right they are wrong. Read Vaubans guide send a letter before action and give them 14 days to respond. All in the guide. I think you can only claim up to £2.000 per application so you might need to split up the 9 applications. Someone will put me straight if I am wrong.
