I mean, you could just say, "Oh! You don't have the booking reference? Ok, - it was BugsBunny123. There. Please feel free to prove that it isn't that reference.
So, now that you have the reference, let's proceed with the claim for €*euros* on *date* etc etc "

Unfortunately Thomson are insisting on either boarding card or the actual booking confirmation - (at least in my case) currently going through the motions with resolver, see what happens.
I have got an email from Thomas Cook confirming my booking reference but don't think they are going to accept it.2012 wins0 -

Phone Thomas Cook on 01924428777 on Monday. Explain you need a copy of your booking to settle a credit card query, ask for it to be emailed and within 1 hour I had my original booking on my screen.0 -
We were 12 hours delayed coming back from Barbados in 2011 due to technical fault on earlier plane which in turn made all consecutive flights late. We were told there were no grounds for complaint at the time so didn't Perdue it. I now learn that we could have done and Thomson are saying they can take 56 days to reply I have been given 3 days and yes boarding passes are required flight numbers and booking reference. This was not booked online so have no email confirmation yes I agree I think it is a cop out. I also learn that we should have received a letter detailing the delay0

The time limit for court action is 6 years (5 in Scotland) so you should still be in time and, on the face of it, have a strong case. Speak to a NWNF firm and/or read Vauban's comprehensive guide (referred to on these threads often).0 -
Hi
I am back after successfully claiming 5K a coupe of years ago.My Problem this time is a little different, thought I would see if I had could get any help on here as going round in circles a little and not sure where to go for advice,
I worked for Thomsons for many years and left in DEC 2014 on leaving I had £950.00 worth of Concession that I purchased through my salary each month. On leaving I had one year to purchase and travel on a holiday,so I booked a family holiday to Egypt travelling on the 5th of November 2015 thus fulfilling the conditions.at 9pm on the 4th of November the government cancelled all but essential travel to Sharm el Sheikh.Due to the sudden cancellation and time constraints I was unable to amend and go on a new holiday that week.As we had just moved house and my son taking his options this year we had already decided that we would be unable to afford a holiday this year but are planning a long haul holiday for 2017 so I asked Thomson if they could either refund my concessions or extend the period for me to spend them to an extra year as all this had happened through no fault of my own and I had fulfilled all the conditions in good faith and really couldnt afford to lose £950.00 of my hard earned wages. They politely said no but as a gesture of goodwill they would extend the use of the concession until the 31st of March and that I would have needed to not only booked but travelled also by the 31 st of March and that this was on the proviso I did not take to any social media site to make a complaint as this offer would then be withdrawn. They also said they would not provide a refund as this would set a precedent.Sorry to ramble on and know this isnt a flight delay but any advice would be appreciated as want to take them to the small claim court but not sure where to start0 -
Youll need to check the specific terms and conditions of the "concession" contract. If there isn't one, its possibly wide open to a small claims court. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Hi J Pears
thank you for taking the time to reply
that is interesting as I thought I would just go and check the wording of the contract and this is a quote off customer services themselves when they were telling me they would withdraw the offer if I complained on social media
The terms and conditions applied to Additional Holiday Concessions are non-contractual and, whilst we do not wish to take this action, can be withdrawn if considered appropriate by the Company.
does this mean they are open to me taking them to small claims court0 -
Erm. in my humble and non legal opinion, if you have paid for those concessions and there are terms and conditions, that pretty much makes it a contract and I suspect a county court judge may think likewise.
Perhaps you could post up those terms and conditions, irrespective of any thing Thomsons have said since. Unless your employment contract was strictly private and confidential and it clearly states no part of it may be published....If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Perhaps you could approach Thomsons again, mentioning that you think their terms are unfair and may seek legal advice and possibly recovery of monies paid....?If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
