    Congratulations Matt, great news :beer::T.

I wonder if Thomson have been losing customers because I've been bombarded with their holiday emails since Xmas, at least 2/3 every day which got a bit annoying.

I got my cheque out of the blue last weekend so it seems they're honouring claims at last. Let's hope the other airlines follow their example.

    Well done. :T
  • Hi all, I've received a cheque as compensation for 2 adults but not my child- they cited 'excluding infants and free child places' even though my child was neither. I have written to them to request the rest of the compensation. Am I ok to bank the original cheque, while I await the next one? I have checked this forum and Vauban's excellent guide but can't find an answer to this query. Thanks again to all you fabulous people for your advice.

    Hi,

You should write to them explaining that you will only accept the cheque as part payment. Further, that you do not consider the claim settled in full until you receive payment for all qualifying passengers.

If your child qualifies, they are just trying it on.

    Good luck.

Another success! Looks like these are rolling along now!

So, after starting my court proceedings with Thomson on the eve of the 6 year limit and nearly 2 years ago - I have finally received payment of the full amount with all interest! Did the whole going to Court, case stayed etc. etc.

Thomson messed me about right to the end, lost cheques / letters etc. Received a BACS payment the other day and could not be happier!

Have in a weird way enjoyed the whole researching regs and test cases / court preparation / fighting the big corporation who wants to shrug you off as irrelevant.

Massive thanks to Legal Magpie / Vauban / david e and all other regulars who have been so helpful!! Honestly, those just starting out - read the info, its all here...winds me up seeing same old questions especially when most on here have done it for themselves!!

    Right, I'm off to celebrate!!

Success !! A massive thanks to all those who offered advise and guides .
Received a cheque today from my delayed flight from Geneva (7 hrs delay) just over 6 years from the day.

They included 4% interest and court fee apparently,
Does anyone know if I can request a more detailed receipt of sorts.
I'd like to know how much in court fees And exchange rates ?

For those who are still seeking , hang on in there !!

The clearing of the cheque is your receipt.
  • I am about to submit my claim on MCOL against Thomson.

Please can anyone advise on the following info?

-full name (including title) of the person(s) you wish to make a claim against

    - full address (including postcode) of the person(s) you wish to make a claim against

    Thanks!
