Flight number TOM7648 on 22nd February. Birmingham to Innsbruck.

They gave us very little information, really.
You will need to do a bit more digging around for info - our hand over to a NWNF. Good ones will usually already know the reason for your delay or find out easily enough, if it was airport closure or similar.
If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

    The alleged Ringleader.........
  • New to this so please bare with me.
I was on a Thomson flight from Dominican Republic to Manchester last week, we departed on time no problem, over the Atlantic the pilot announced we had a warning light come on due to oil pressure so he shut the engine off and landed us in the Azores, we stayed there for nearly 7 hours whilst a rescue plane was sent out to get us, we arrived in Manchester 12 hours late, this plane was only 2 weeks old at this time, do we have a compensation claim as we took off on time and it was an electrical problem???

after also reading Huzar thread for further info. HTH
  • That was the plane due to depart from Manchester to Orlando, but obviously didn't which caused 7 of us a 24 hour delay.

These threads are exhausting, and I haven't even started the process yet.....
  • thanks for that, I read through the advice sheets and have filled out the compensation letter, but on the advice I couldn't find out about delayed landing, as we took off on time but got diverted before coming back to blighty making our arrival late if I qualify for compensation.

    Thanks JPears.

Any idea where I'd go for more information?

The airline just gave us a generic letter saying that we could speak to the attendants about how to claim compensation, although the attendants said that they didn't know, and to call HQ.

    Google isn't returning much.

    Hi,
We were on the flight from Sanford on 24th April before your flight which was delayed 8 hours and 23 mins!
Have been back and forth corresponding with Thomsons and I quoted the Jet2 case last time I wrote. My latest letter received today advises me to wait until the Supreme Court ruling on the appeal. I'm unsure whether to do this or proceed to small claims court.
Would be interested in how you and others are getting on?

    Hi
We have given up trying to correspond with Thomson as we are getting nowhere. We have handed it over to a NWNF company now and will leave it in their capable hands.
The way I see it, any compensation we may get is a bonus and will go towards next years holiday.
I haven't really got the time to try and deal with Thomson. It's been 10 weeks since out first letter and still no response.
    Hope you have some luck.
  • I was delayed on 9 May 2014 on TOM126 from Manchester to Sanford (Orlando) a Dreamliner Flight - Total Delay 8 ¼ hours.
How can Thomson say the Dreamliner Problem was Out of the Ordinary Technical Problems - and refuse to pay any compensation. How many problems are recorded with the 787 since it went into service - how can this be Out of the Ordinary. - Any suggestions how I can take this forward please?
  • You need to start here on the Thomson thread.

    Put Dreamliner in search.

Your post will probably be moved to that thread.
