    Hi.
It's now been over 14 days since we sent our first letter for compensation.
    With no response from t.cook.

Can someone tell us what is the next step?

    Thanks
  • Hi I have had the following response to my NBA do i have to contact CAA or straight to mcol.

Thank you for contacting Thomas Cook Customer Relations.

I am sorry that I have not been able to reach a mutually agreeable resolution of this matter for you.

With regard to flight TCXxxx linked to booking reference xxxxxx, we have been advised that the technical difficulties that caused the delay are defined as extraordinary and a relevant defence under the European Court Judgement 261 "air passenger rights". Unfortunately they do not define the details of the technical difficulty to us and these must be requested directly from the Civil Aviation Authority. Therefore should you wish the technical details of the defence, please request these directly from the CAA.

I am sorry I could not assist you further with this matter.

Thanks Mark,, I rang them and was told "thats not a defence" and to email and get it reclassified and it will be judgement by default.

Excellent Jacksback, this sounds like could be a victory for you? Let us know how it go's please?

    Hi

Just wondered if someone could help and advise.

I sent a letter to TC at their Bradford address (Customer Relations Department, FlyThomasCook.com, 2-4 Godwin Street, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD1 2ST) on 15th January 2013 for a delayed flight from tenerife to birmingham in october 2011.

I have not had a response from them, despite requesting one within 14 days.

What is my next step? Ive noticed through reading the forum that others have sent it to a different address. Should i resend the letter to the Peterborough address? I have the booking confirmation although i booked through Travel Republic rather than TC directly.

    TIA x

  • Hi, sent an email claim to TC 3 weeks ago using a template letter from the FAQs (there is some excellent info here). Had a reply after one week to acknowledge receipt and tell me this would be looked at within 28 days - in line with ABTA guidelines.

So, today I had an email asking for my address as they want to confirm that I was the lead passenger. Is this usual TC delay tactics?

Daisy, what email address did you use for TC?

Or do they want an address to send the cheque to?

Hi Lisa, I searched for an online complaints form and filled this in. The replies have been from relations.customer@thomascook.com.

Fingers crossed they are asking for an address so they can send a cheque :j

I've sent my two letters thus far with a copy to the email address. I have received two phone calls from customer service saying that they have written to the airline but have never had anything in writing like others on here have. Im wondering if I've done something wrong?

You need to write to the airline not the agent or tour operator.

Thank you Centipede100, shall I resend everything to the Peterborough address? Thanks
