Has anyone who received a voucher & rang to request cash received a payment. It's coming upto 28 days for me & I'm sure other people had requested cash before me.
How long did it take to go into your bank?
Did you receive an email to advise payment had been made?
Thanks
Update : Just received an email tonight that they have processed my payment & should be my account within 10 working days!!!!0 -
I have finally received my cheque from Weightmans today. The TC chq was dated 29/12/14. They had emailed me on 27/11 to advise I would receive my cheque within 21-28 days. Very glad it's all settled but a bit dissapointed I will never find out what was wrong with the plane. Good luck everyone and keep going. I'd been told no on many occasions since Nov 2012.0

Hi. I have submitted my claim in November - 26 hour delay in 2009 - been given case reference no. but my emails for updates or information are basically being ignored- customer sevices say dedicated team not taking calls but info being passed to them and I just have to wait. I'm a Paralegal so happy to expedite myself just one query - how long should I wait before taking it to the CAA (next level) ? Anyone else processing themselves ?0

The CAA is unlikely to be able to help you; what do you think they will do? When in 2009 was your flight? Make sure you don't get timed out!0 -

I reported my case to the CAA last March and have heard nothing back. The website states that you shouldn't contact them to enquire about the status of a complaint.
It mentions they have a lot of complaints to deal with but 10 months is taking the Mickey!0 -

On 24th May 2011 my wife and I were affected by two flights operated by Thomas Cook Airlines Limited. Outbound Flight TCX 6114 and our homebound flight TCX 6115 were delayed by over 20 hours.
Thomas Cook refused to give any detailed information to explain the precise nature and extent of the delay unless the claimant commenced County Court proceedings.
Thomas Cook initially defended our claim by stating the delay for our flight TCX 6115 was due entirely to the volcanic ash cloud. However following three Hearings at our local County Court, at which Thomas Cook was represented by three witnesses and a barrister, it transpired that the initial defence document was incorrect. Eventually, after much more information was obtained as a result of the claimant’s requests, Thomas Cook admitted a delay of 3 hours or more arose and this delay was due to mechanical problems.
After the recent Supreme Court decision, which held an earlier Court of Appeal case indicating that mechanical problems did not constitute an extraordinary circumstance, Thomas Cook paid our claim in full.
I hope this information is useful any other passengers whom were subjected to the lengthy delay.0 -
