Nothing has been deleted by me but I did take the time to tidy up the FAQs at the beginning of each dedicated airline thread.

Why do we need Ryanair and Thomson details in a Thomas Cook only thread?

To be honest, Connersz, as you initially started your own thread and then asked a number of questions which could be answered by quick reference to the FAQs, it is (I would humbly contend) a bit rich to be criticising others for a lack of posting discipline.

The information you are all referring to in the Thomas Cook thread, contains information for just about any other airline and the text is formatted in such a way that I had to read it about 10 times just to try and decipher the information I needed.

I do not see your problem - there are links in the FAQs to claim forms/addresses for 8 different airlines....it is fairly obvious that you can ignore the links for the airlines that are not relevant to you.

The FAQs are a great resource and the person that put them together, together with the other regular posters are not employed by MSE.

Nobody was paid to pull all this together to help other people that are prepared to read through them and digest the information provided to them. To complain that the FAQs are generic across all airline threads and contain links to other airlines seems very selfish. If does no harm and the question is "so what?"

My delay was a 26 hour one and faced with the Monarch 'attitude' during the delay, up to Court action and following I decided to take them on myself and contribute to this forum thereafter.

I believe I was the first person to do this and definitely the first armed with a transcript of my case and I have provided numerous people with a copy of this transcript and indeed in two particular cases (one Virgin the other Thomson) I have helped people in Court. The transcript has been downloaded over 1,000 times.

Following my Court case the compensation was given to a local charity - I did not undertake my action to achieve a financial result rather to prove that Monarch were in the wrong and in the sincere hope that Monarch and the other airlines improve their despicable punctuality/delay record. This is the reason I stick around to help others but only those who are prepared (as I was) to undertake a fair degree of research - therefore if the poster finds me rude and unhelpful (as a regular) I feel I am entitled to express my disappointment at the post.

Is this why you are here in the first place? As the airlines are mostly rude and unhelpful?
Many of the forum members on here have earned their spurs and are the best to help but if you ask questions that have already been answered then what would you expect? 1000's ask the same question if only they read page 1 faq's. Seriously this forum will help if you require it.

I suggest the line should be drawn here, and we all move on in battle with the airlines rather than forum members.
Check out Vaubans Flight Delay Guide, you will be glad you did....:):):)

These are the airlines whos details are mentioned in the specific 'Thomas Cook Only' thread (the one you're looking at right now):

Thomas cook
Thomson
KLM
Ryanair
BA
Jet airways

After 8 posts now complaining about matters extraneous to your claim, we're here to help move this forward or have you decided not to bother with it?

I was just asking why we need details for those airlines in the Thomas Cook thread. Not a massively difficult question as far as I can tell.

The answer was given to you earlier. Now unless you have questions directly about your claim then I'm out.

Apologies if I missed it, but would you mind telling me the post number?

If you are on the Thomas Cook thread and want the Thomas Cook address then click on that link and ignore the other address links
There is no need for someone on the Thomas Cook thread to have to click the link to find the Ryanair address

as has been said, someone has spent a lot of effort in their own time to provide a FAQ page and created individual threads for each airline with this same page included on the first page

If you do not want to use the help given I expect you would be better just going alone and dealing with Thomas Cook direct as the fact there are other airlines mentioned in the generic FAQs seems to be really confusing you. I am sure if you write to Thomas Cook they will only respond to you re Thomas Cook information and not confuse you any further
