Should I now get legal advice
you should be able to make that decision after you have read ALL the FAQs - there are a number of links including https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/59692197#Comment_596921970 -
Hi
I endured a 11 hour delay to Majorca last September I contacted Thomas Cook and as stated on MSE they came back to me saying it was due to an extraordinary circumstance I then contacted the CAA who have finally come back to me and said that they believe I am entitiled to compensation
I have contacted Thomas Cook again (yesterday) via e mail outlining what the CAA have concluded
Has anybody else been through this process and could advise me wether Thomas Cook in the light of the CAA findings will pay me compensation or will I need take this further and if so who do I need to contact
I hope this makes sense
Thank you0 -

you will find plenty of people in this thread have gone through the same. NBA and court will likely be required (all info in the FAQs)0 -
Thomas Cook have agreed to pay compensation for my delayed flight in 2011.
The only problem I have is that they are only paying half of what I'm entitled to.
My flight landed (over 4hrs delayed) 4hrs 15mins late into Calgary. They are saying the flight arrived (under 4hrs) 3hrs 35mins late.
Flight stats states 4hrs 15mins ..
Where can I find further evidential proof that my flight was over 4hrs delayed.I have exhausted all communication with Thomas Cook and am waiting to hear from the CAA.
Thanks for any advice.0 -

Flt number TCX 026 ...
Many thanks
by using the flight details in one of the NWNF sites it comes up with
"Your possible compensation €300.00
The above amount is the base claim amount per passenger, based on the information you provided" (only the flight number and date)
So it does sound like the flight was under 4 hours on their database too
strangely, I cannot see your flight listed in Flightstats - the route shows the TCX25 but nothing for TCX260 -
Yes for some reason the flight number changed to TCX 025 in flight stats..I know my self we were over 4 hours.. Will wait and see if CAA have any info in their data base..

Just seen on a well known TC travel law website that all delay claims are stayed pending Huzar.
1. Who gives the courts the rights to do this without asking the claimant?
2. They really are putting all the faith in this now.
I hope the big case in London gives em a real good legal fight and they lose!Check out Vaubans Flight Delay Guide, you will be glad you did....:):)
