£60 to file mcol then another £80 if it goes to a hearing. Shouldn't really have to pay anything else,

Depends on the amount claimed,, I paid £80 then £40 and finally £160. All refunded when they paid out.

I do not have the precise details of these I'm afraid but have been told by a colleague that TC contested "EC" cases recently and won.

If I can find out any more I will post.
  • half positive response to our claim for compensation but...
we have been send the total amount but in the form of a thomas cook voucher.....
Do I have to except the voucher or are they just "trying their luck". The voucher is also only valid for a year.... not much use to me when we already have our holiday booked and paid for

    thank you

Centipede100, don't you think it might be time to lock this thread? It has SO much information on it that you only have to look for to find but it is driving me mad reading the same TC letters posted over and over or people asking if they have to accept a voucher again and again and again...

It's a really good question, and no one has ever asked it before. Interestingly, the regulation does permit the passenger to be paid in aardvark tails. No really. God's honest truth.
