I have had notification from the court today that TC intend to defend my claim in full!!! now have to wait the 28 days for them to file defence :mad:0 -
I'm not sure if anybody else has tried this email, I have had some response up until I called them a liar !
Well, don't lie. If you have already settled for some of my fellow passengers then do not tell me that my delay was "extraordinary circumstances"

And then I was told that no comment could be made about other cases, hang on they were on the same flight sat behind me.

Do they always defend? They decided to defend against our claim but when we received their defence statement they admitted liability and their 'defence' was that we hadn't provided them with proof that we were booked onto the flight.... Are you in contact with these other people on the plane? If they could provide you with a copy of a document agreeing to settle the claim I cannot see how they could wriggle out of that one.
I think this was the same flight as me & mcsave. mcsave has been paid out & they have just told the court they intend to defend my claim in full!!!0 -
As I previously posted, I eventually got a reply from TC after several months, rejecting my claim and stating "industrial action".
which I dispute.
I trawled through a few sites and found one called go.spain.com on which they published a list of dates for Spanish air strikes. The date which affected my flight was not shown! Therefore, as I thought, TC are trying to fob me off.
I have now asked for proof of their "industrial action" claim so will await the outcome0 -

|Have you checked on the flightstats website to see if other planes were being delayed in otr out os spain on your dates. You could also contact the AESA the Spanish NEB, they looked into my case, and got a letter from them saying TC should tip up. They didn't of course, but reckon it will look good in my court case next month

Well, we had an 8 hour delay leaving Glasgow on 17th May, arriving in Menorca. We missed a day of our holiday and I am now trying to claim compensation. I phoned Thomas Cook and received the generated email that most people did, so I emailed back with every detail of our delay in a very strong email. One week on and no response so I will now send a letter with the email enclosed and I will send a letter every week for one month until they respond, and if they don't I will go to the next stage and I will not stop until we receive compensation!!
