Adie,
Have sent you pm but do not know if you received, just in case not, the arrival and departure times, flight number and aircraft reg ( G-MONR) can be found on 'The Aviation Society' website, this show G-MONR arr on 30/09/2012 at11.25 from Sharm El Shiekh and leaving again at 12.52,if you also look on planefinder.net for flight MON5642, this will show G-MONR flying to Aktion on 30/09/2012. Hope this helps.
I've only just seen your message, sorry.
I've left you a reply and would suggest people use the sites Barry quotes as a valuable source of info for tracking.0 -
I'm happy to report another success if the admins wish to add it to the list. :j:j

Monarch used every trick in the book and it took two visits to court - neither of which they attended. This seems to be their usual method of dealing with claims, and they probably gamble on the fact that enough people will simply give up rather than put up a lengthy frustrating fight. An extra couple of hundred quid lost in court costs occasionally would seem to be a decent price to pay for putting several hundred potential claimants off taking them for thousands.
My advice would be to fight them all the way. There's loads of help on this fantastic forum and it is almost certain that you won't even have to fight it out in a courtroom as Monarch rarely turn up now (My case yesterday was the second at Oldham County Court this week that Monarch failed to appear at), so if the thought of attending court scares you, please be reassured that it is a rather informal discussion between the two parties with a judge presiding - and that's in the unlikely event that monarch actually turn up.
You can also claim up to £90 per day loss of earnings plus other related costs (I also claimed £30 administration and £10 parking), and don't forget the interest on top of the claim that you are entitled to.
I have now successfully claimed a total of £3930 off Airlines from delay claims and have another still to be heard. It's your money - fight for it!0 -
Well done Adie - it is interesting to see that Monarch are as shambolic at handling the compensation claims as they are in getting their airplanes off the ground on time!0

3 of us were delayed 10 hours on a Monarch flight from Palma Mallorca to Luton in July 2010
Upon return I phoned Monarch who immediately denied the claim but offered a £50 voucher each. I asked for cash but was told voucher or nothing! So we accepted.
When this EU claim business was shown on Martyn's ITV show recently I wrote a letter from the template on his website to Monarch but did not have any paperwork or know the flight number, only the date of the flight, so did not hold out much hope.
I received a reply next day by email asking us each to fill in the form they attached.
We filled the form in for each of us and scanned it back to Monarch the same day
We each received an email the next day saying the claim was agreed and we would get a cheque for £207-14 (€250) within 21 days.
Received the cheque 2 days later! Can't believe how easy it was and how quick Monarch were to agree and pay out!
Happy days thank to Martyn0 -

And even worse at getting them back on the ground on time
The basic rules are these: - if you walk away from the landing it's a good landing. If the company gets to use the jet again, it's an excellent landing.
On time is possibly a bonus!0 -
Hi Gooner Boy,
Well done, Unfortunately not all claims are settled that quickly or easily.

This information may be significant. I spoke to the court help-line and was told that because of the growing numbers of claims that all EU261 cases are going to be heard in Liverpool. The claims for individual flights will be collated and handled together.
It seems that we can infer that the judge(s) handling the claims will be familiar with the current law and it's wrinkles. I imagine that this will eliminate some of the bizarre decisions referred to earlier in this thread.0 -

My case is listed on 28th Feb 14 for a case management conference in Liverpool C.C.. District Judge Woodburn seems to be calling airlines to attend these meetings to show just cause why they should not be struck out. Mine is one of many listed that day before 3 District Judges. I have been informed that there may still be a change of venue due to the large number of claims to be heard. My case appears to be going ahead - despite Monarch writing to the courts re Huzar judgement.0
