If you've kept receipts for food or drink you've purchased during the waiting period, after landing at Stanstead and before being transported to Gatwick, you could claim for that. But no claim other than that. Bad weather is beyond the airlines control.

I agree that you have no claim under the EU compensation law, but have you checked the terms of your travel insurance? Perhaps you might be covered under that. Also, what happened sounds worrying - hasn't the coach driver (or anyone else involved) warned you that driving your car home in the morning without having slept at all during the night is dangerous and probably illegal?

Hi there: would just like to know whether anyone was on this flight. Has anybody been compensated for the cancellation and re-scheduling of the flight? If you weren't successful with Monarch, has anybody contacted Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aerea (the Spanish CAA)?
