Take the money - they are only obliged to pay interest if you appear in court. I presume that if you have instigated court action they will reimburse your court fee(s).0 -

If you have claimed interest as part of your court action, presumably you can decline to accept any compromise if you wish. Is it not the claimant's call whether to withdraw their claim?
Of course, whether it makes sense to progress the claim if an offer has been made is a judgement call, especially as interest is at the sole discretion of the judge.0 -
Thank you. It has been so long that I can't remember if I put in for interest or not. Will take the money it was for flight monarch zb286 I think gat wick to tfs on 22/6/2012. I gave them a call today and she told me to hang on a minute came back to me and said that they are paying out for this flight. I said well it was a good job I called and her reply was as there is so many that they can't tell everyone so it might be worth a call if you are still waiting. :T0

Hi all, totally new to these pages, but wondered if anyone out there is alsoseeking compensation on flight MON7908 Gatwick to Corfu 16/07/2012. I've got nowhere yet, and the CAa haven't made any progress, having referred the case back for Monarch's reconsideration. If anyone else has any information please get in touch. Many thanks. Jules0

Have just used Bott & Co myself for this flight, took less than 2 weeks for Bott to confirm Monarch are settling my claim :j:j
Flight Claim check needs updating as this flight shows as DENIED status433Barbara wrote: »CONGRATULATIONS..... I too have just received a pay out for this flight.
I was going to go down the MCOL route as Monarch had denied my claims/letters (contacted several times since July 11) but having been blessed with two grandchildren my time is precious.
I wrote to the CAA and it took 11 months for a reply (which is after I initiated Bott) and the CAA said they had written to Monarch to say they agreed that Monarch SHOULD pay out.
I went down the BOTT & CO route and have to say I was extremely impressed by the quickness (initiated end of Oct 13) the claim was settled and by how Bott kept me informed all the way.
I know that others have been paid out for this flight so if you were on this flight CLAIMVal0 -
I hope the winner of Ant & Dec's lovely Monarch flight trip don't have the delays 37% of their other customers have! At least we know where they're concentrating their resources just now!0

Hi all,
I was hoping for a bit of advice. I was on a flight back in 2010 that was delayed for exactly 3 hrs, it has not been mentioned on the list and was wondering if 3 hrs exactly would qualify for a possible claim.
Many thanks in advance.0 -

The Sturgeon judgement talks about a delay "equal to or in excess of three hours".
What is the route/date?0 -

I saw a post on the internet the other week about someone who won a Monarch competition and, when the return flight was inevitably delayed (for a few days in fact) Monarch refused to provide them with any accommodation or meal expenses, as they hadn't paid for their ticket (they had merely won it, so weren't strictly covered by 261/04). You couldn't make it up ...0
