Back from Mr T's I am getting more and more dis-satisfied with them, today they had lots of empty shelves, and Friday is a prime shopping day, the shop was not unusually busy, so whats the problem?????? I would go to Asda but its travel, Mr T is less than a mile from us and we can get to it on the bus.
Took £50 out of the bank, good job I had a £20 note in my purse, it came to £68..............but I have bought extra meat and 2 for £5 chickens for the freezer.
Am going to be busy next week......have a lot of stuff to cook up for our holiday...........
Re yesterdays debacle...........I have had the CT this morning we have to pay £57 a month on a titchy one bed apartment..........they have slashed our CTB to £6.06 a week........one wonders if its really worth it?????
I have calmed down a bit from yesterday, we have an appointment to go and see the HB people next Friday at 11am........that WILL be interesting. They have gone back to 2004 with our overpayment, so I think I will make them wait 3 years whilst I pay them back £10 a month should do it!!!!! Seriously, it really affects the chances of us going to see our friends in Florida. OH is 74 this year and time is running out on his free travel insurance through the bank........apart from him not being able to cope with the journey!!!
After all the stress of dealing with the move, I feel very drained. I am sleeping better, heaven knows what I would have been like if I had not...I am not sure if its due to the alternative medication someone recommneded to me...........when I saw the Doctor yesterday she said I should start cutting back on the amitryptelene in another month so thats when I will know if it is the new tablets or a combination of the two.
Right I am off, need to sweep the postage stamp kitchen floor and wash it over, one pass with the brush and one with a stardrops cloth and its done!!!!

Afternoon all
just back from butlins at bognor - the town was lovely - butlins was .... well ... not so lovely. to be honest it was 160 quid for the week including breakfast and dinner and I guess I got what I paid for. It would have been excellent value if we were more into party dances and waterslides but some of us found we are too old for that sort of thing and some of us were too young
Next time I would take a friend for dd so that she would have someone to go to the activities with but on her own she preferred to stay with us and moan about being bored - a lot! I would definitely go self catering next time although transport to town might be a problem - am thinking of taking a bike next time - if there is a next time. The food was shocking especially for dd who is veggie. Well I'm off to run a bath (hot instead of tepid) and start the washing.
have a good afternoon all
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

Not sure what happened to me, but got out of the habit of spending time in the computer- although the house is a lot tidier these days:rolleyes:
Not a lot, but lots to report if you get me drift.
Am still being very o/s.
I now have an allotment- not doing too badly.
I am going back to College in September to do a national diploma in countryside management
I am still trying to get the house finished- cant believe I have been here a year.
Am getting some chooks next month for the back garden.
Have lost 1/2 a stone.
Have set a date for the wedding 24 july 09, but trying to bring it forward a year.
It is lovely to see so many old face on here still and lots of new ones. Did Curryqueen ever come back?

to all having problems posting:-
When I want to post a reply and after clicking 'submit reply', if I find my message has not gone on, I simply hit the green 'Back' button at the top left of my screen and go back to the message box. Then I wait about 20 seconds and click 'submit reply' again.
If I then find my message has gone on twice, I choose one of them, click 'edit' and then 'delete message'.
I havent had any other problems posting. Hope this little trick helps.

Patentgirl ((((hugs)))) for Harry. A friend of mine came home a couple of months ago to fine her cat had apparently been run over, he'd got no use in his back legs and most of his tail was gone with the skin on his behind hanging off. I know it looks horrendous and its awaful to see a much loved pet in pain, but he came through it fantastically and I'm sure Harry will too, cats are very resiliant. Why do we put ourselves through the heartache?! I worry about my dogs all the time, they are Yorkshire Terriers and very small (we call the smallest one, Pip, a Yorkshire Terrorist because he makes up for his size with attitude!). Pip is so small I won't even let him off the lead in fields incase a weasel or a bird of prey gets him!! Last year my OH accidentally shut him in the car door, he thought he'd killed him because Pip had a fit and lost control of his legs. Turns out he was very lucky as all his major organs were missed so he just had to be treated for shock and bruising. And as for the other one, Jake, the very first day we took him out for a walk after all his injections, he fell off a five foot wall onto a concrete patio! He was knocked out cold and I thought he was dead but he'd just broken his paw and had to have it in plaster. To this day (he's 7 yrs old now) he still holds up the same paw if he's feeling sorry for himself!
Anyway, my rather long winded point is that our small little pets are all stronger than they look, I wish Harry and all other pets a speedy recovery and long healthy life with their 'mummies' and 'daddies'
Now to the ironing, have just remembered that I also have to get a pork chop out of the freezer for OH's dinner, and a tub of homemade ratatouille to make myself a pasta bake - and all be fore the debt counsellor calls - can't wait (heavy sarcasm)

Before I go - lowfat icecream recipe:
1 tin carnation light evaporated milk, chilled
250g raspberries, mashed up a bit
75 g caster sugar
Whisk the chilled milk and sugar until roughly tripled in volume, lightly mix in raspberries, put in a shallow freezer proof container and freeze - thats it! Does need to be taken out of the freezer for a bit before you eat it as it certainly isn't soft scoop, but it does taste good!October grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):

Good Afternoon All
patentgirl my heart goes out to poor Harry, I hope he pulls through ok. My neighbour's cat got run over 2weeks ago, same happened to his jaw, but more damage was done to his right eye, they think he's lost it! They eye I mean! So far - for as long as Ive had cats, Ive had no major accidents to deal with, just general health where Ive had to put them to sleep. I dont know whats more heart breaking! But losing any pet is just as upsetting, regardless of the situation!
mrsflittersnoop (((Hugs to your cat also))) bless her!
stefjb sorry you didnt enjoy butlins as much as you anticipated. I remeber going when DS was about 18months old, it was a mon-fri break, we had to change rooms as soon as we got there, as there wasn't enough room to swing a cat let alone put a cot in. And cos DS was teething, and the room seemed very damp, by the weds, we came home! Never again! I let him go with his grandparents!
Nice to se you back pennineman
freyaluck well done on the weight loss!
post reply problems before I post a reply, I always copy n paste it to a word pad, so I dont lose it!
Well, back from work, WM on again, and Ive sorted out a few more bills which need paying, most likely do that tomorrow. I think this is the first month (in a very long time) that Ive actually paid everything on time, with money still left in the bank! Here's hoping it will last!!!!
The car didnt have a check over at work, as we have been un-indated with appointments! Hope to do it next week!
The charity wheel barrow run, is hoping to be organised for August Bank Holiday, sad thing is, I'll be on holiday then. So Im hoping we can arrange the date, otherwise I wouldnt be able to do it!
exOH will be taking the kids camping in August during that time, as usual me & OH usually books a last minute deal and have a few days away in Turkey. Its nice to have the quality time together.
Ive got a mega headache, so I might nip off to bed for a while.
Catch you later
Love Emma
P.S AMIE I borrowed mum's scales again this morning, at a quick glance, I think Ive lost another 2lb since Monday. I will re-do it again tomorrow! If so, then thats 4lb.
