Morning all!
Happy Birthday little miss Catowen xx
Oooh it's good to be back. The new computer is up and running. There are a few wrinkles to sort out (it won't play any games yet) but I can get on here and post which is what counts.
Life has been good, settling into the new job nicely and everything else is running smoothly too apart from my car breaking down on the way to work last Friday. Luckily it was the alternator which was still under guarantee so it only cost me for the labour. I'm amazed at how easy this all is but perhaps it's because I spent so much time running round after him anyway.
If I have worked out my finances right then the money front is also looking good too
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning All
Just a quickie, Happy Birthday Miss Catowen :bdaycake: and anyone else celebrating today.
Slept well, tried to wake up when DH did at 5, fell back asleep, he brought me a cup of coffee in bed when he went out at 5.30, fell back asleep woke up at 6.15 sipped coffee , went back to sleep. Eventually drunk cold cup of black coffee and got up at 7:eek: How come when you want to get up and get on you can sleep and not when you can sleep without a need to get up
Need to tidy up some paperwork this morning, have been scanning some things in, and trying to do two things at once (what's new) got in a mess. So need to sort as I cannot leave the spare bedroom (tip) in this state.:o
Glad life is on a roll Moggins, sorry I am not a fan of motorbikes either GB so sympathise with you there. DH and I were talking about driving to Spain the other day, and I pointed out that unless there was a reason it was cheaper to fly, but I get bored (for two hours) waiting at the airport he says. OK I says I'll drive and you can sit there for two days and see how boring that is. He does not make a good passenger, as HE GETS BORED!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Right off to get busy, and we should be away just after lunch, must remember the diet, and watch the red wine consumption (spoils it somehow doesn't it!). Catch you all Sunday.
(((((hugs)))))) to anyone in need

Morning Guys!
OH has just taken DD to school, so thought I would come on here for a bit:D
Had a great sleep last night (sorry BargainRzl:p ) which is unlike me
..weather is dry but overcast and we are suppose to be having 24c today.
No washing to do, DW half full but toilet cleaned. Friend dropped by the nets last night and she had washed them for me. They are perfect in length and has done a truly wonderful job:T House is all clean and tidy;)
Today, I MUST get on with my essay as I dont want to get so far behind. My TMA's have been rubbish on the last 2 occasions and cant really afford to substitute it as I want a good pass grade. Only 2 more to do after this, then Im done till October:D Also have an exam for another course in June which I need to revise for:eek:      ...well...no rest for the wicked!
Big News.....We bought a Kenwood Mixer yesterday:D ...its the KM310 one. Was going to buy from Ebay but found it much cheaper at The Atlantic Electrical shop. John Lewis wanted £199 plus delivery and we got for £114 Inc delivery and I have double checked and its exactly the same
...Im really looking forward to using it. Does anyone know where I can get a cover for it to sit on the side in the kitchen?
We have a friends lad (17) coming over later. He's a sweet lad but has little confidence. Also isnt very fluent in reading, so I have offered to go through some stuff with him to help this. Im pretty sure its a viscious circle and once he can read better he will gain more confidence. He's also never seen Silence Of The Lambs..so we will be watching that after:eek:
Have invited SIL/BIL (nice ones!) over tomorrow evening for dinner and to catch up with everything. Thinking of doing a Lasagna come Moussakka (SP) as I have an aubergine that needs using. Would it work ok, if I do a layer of mince, then aubergine, then white sauce and another 1-2 levels of sheets, meat and sauce
Will serve with oven chips and salad. Have a toffee cheesecake for pudding:D
Breakie: Scrambled egg/toast
Lunch: Carrot/coriander soup with roll
Dinner: Not too sure yet
Anyway, Im waffling. Hugs to all.

Hi Every1,
I love this thread!! The first thing I do in the morning is come and have a read and it really motivates me to get off my ar** and do things. You guys are gr8!!
I get fridays off and when DD2's at nursery I sort my morney out (well debts out!) and update my challenge s/sheets - so while I do that I'm going to finally cook up the apples and onions that I've got floating about and do smthing with them.
I'm going to hv a shower and walk kids to school (half hour walk). Weathers not great but not raining - after picking DD2 up at 11.30 I will give my garden a bit of tlc.
Thx to whoever posted about cleaning the fridge with lemon juice. I had an old one at the back of the fridge and cleaned the fridge with it and then put the remains in a cup of water in the microwave for 2 mins and both fridge and microwave now sparkle!!
((((HUGS)))) to every1!!

Anyway, in the end I got off for another 2 hours :j so hopefully won't be too shattered once I get moving. However I must have rolled over into a weird position cos my left shoulder is now all seized up
Happy birthday miss catowen and good to see you back moggins
Anyway, off to work in a few mins. Found the fridge guarantee :j so will phone the John Lewis helpline today.

Hello everyone.
BargainRzl - Is it just me that thought that last nights dinner sounded yum?

N9eav - Nice to see you
PenPin - I think Las-akka (do you see what I've done there?) would work well. Oh and I am bloomin jealous of your new mixer! Hope it's fab.
Lynz - Sorry if I've missed it, but what festival are you going to in Africa? (Sorry, nosey).
tickb26 - Is a Body Shop party like a tupperware party (apparently they are coming back into fashion btw! YAY!) or an Ann Summers party? Slightly diff products I imagine
Unproductive day yesterday OS wise. SIL came over with little nephew, feel like she really needs a friend though so didn't feel too bad about not doing housey stuff.
Today need to FINALLY finish the filing (phase 1 anyway ), make a chilli con carne (this one, it's lovely) for friends coming over for dinner on Sat night. We are also having Pain Au Chocolat Bread and Butter Pudding on Saturday. Not very OS or very dieting, but don't see them very often and wanted to do something yum (excuses excuses) I'll only have a weeeee bit . Also need to go to supermarket today for shopping can't do at farm shop/butcher for the month (we have a major situation - I've run out of tonic, and gin and lemonade is not good) MUST also plant up seedlings.
Hugs to anyone who needs one, have a great Friday x0
