Good Morning All
WM on again before going to work
Thank heaven its friday! Its gone quick this week!
DLB - Hope your mum's ok!
AMIE - Not so sure the photo's may come out elegant. After all - imagine me in a nun's outfit, being pushed in a wheel barrow, dread to think where my legs will be! **Note to myself - I must wear tights or trousers under my habit**
I will let you all know the details of the charity event, date/time and the charity number number, all donations gladly received!
Any spectators will be charged premium rate to see this!:rotfl:
Ive had some PM's for my recipe for carrot cake, so here it goes again!
Ingredients
2-3 medium size carrots, peeled & finely chopped
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon of bicarb soda
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
185g of melted butter/marg
3/4 mug of sugar,
1 full mug of self raising flour,
Optional - walnuts & raisins
2 x 1lb loaf tins, lined
in a food blender, place the carrots, eggs, bicarb & cinnamon, blend
then add the sugar & melted butter/marg - blend
then add the flour and any dry ingredients you wish to add, I sometimes use walnuts & raisins (about 1/2 mug of each) - blend
You can use either white or brown sugar, white self raising flour or wholemeal.
Pour equal ammounts into the cake tins, and place in oven Gas mark 3, and bake for approx 50mins (or until cake mix is dry in the middle after the skewer test)
It never lasts too long in this house too bother with the iced topping
Off to do the school run now,
Wil catch up before work

Morning all
Now I must be the only person who wishes she was an insomniac! I just can't get out of bed at the moment and then feel terribly guilty when I don't log on here until 0846!!
I've been so jealous of you all logging on first thing in the morning with a cuppa and now...after 10 months of waiting...I can in the comfort of my own home
((((hugs)))) to those who have been feeling down. It's hard when you feel like that, I know. Hope you feel better.
Happy birthday Miss Catowen. I love other people's birthdays, I'm more of a present giver than a present taker!
Today I'm on leave again to write my essay - was on leave yesterday but ended up working as I'm worried I'm behind with things. I've been on a project for a month, but don't have a lot to show for it....even though I've been working hard
Anyone else ever have that?
Anyway, I have to go into town to meet a student for a course I'm studying, catch up with an old work colleague and have decided to bite the bullet and pay someone to clean my car. Not very OS, but I have problems with my arms and I know they'd be in agony if I did it. Also now I live by the sea (:)) I think the car is getting rather salty.
TTFN, will pop back on later......just because I can
MP xx
P.S. Diet wise last night I had a large bag of crisps and then a pizza to myself. It cost me money and then I felt a bit sick from it
Why?!?! do I do that to myself! Starting again today! Previous debt: £14K :embarasse Debt free: Sept '03

Penny-Pincher!! & MushyPeas - Good luck with getting the essay's done
Oh, I was just thinking has anyone heard from Kazonline lately? You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
mrs-mix wishing your DS all the best for the interview! And well done you - for having a good night sleep.
happy birthday to miss catowen hope she has a great day!
(((hugs))) to cazziebo hope you get through these teenage problems ok. Do you have any support groups in your area for "coping with teenagers"? It would be worth a try, you can air your views and share problems with other parents!
charliesmum Igot loads of those black buckets last year from Morrisons, think I got about 10 for 99p.
moggins glad things are going well for you!
Well Ive just done the school, and visited 2 cash points locally, and guess what? - both are out of service!
Im getting the guys at work to do a vehicle health check on my car. For a while Ive heard a clanging noise on the drivers side. i thought it was the deck chairs in the boot, so I took them out - sadly the noise is still there, I just hope the suspension isn't going!
I received my check yesterday from the pet insurance for my cat who died early last month. Im tempted to buy another persian, but will leave it in savings for a while!
Right, bets get ready for work.
Have a great day all

Soz - me again!!
I just wondered if anyone knew what I could make with apple peel? I've got loads left (hv just put apples in oven to soften before I transform them in to culinary (sp?) master pieces) and I don't want to bin it all.JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0 -
Sorry - just to clarify with the recipe, I peel the carrots first, and chop the carrots. I never use the peelings, but I guess if you wash them well, they should be ok, Ive never tried, so cant tell.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Morning everyone!
Cat You've gone to a lot of trouble, can you come round and do my house when it's my birthday please? PenPen, you too. Chocolate profiterole tower mmmmmmmmm
Lynz Good luck with the ticket booking. Don't forget to check what jabs you need, some of the treatments you have to start well before you go.
Racy I just loved the coots story, thank you for sharing
SamSam Good luck. You've done the hardest thing which is taking t
he first step. Don't forget to reclaim your bank charges if you have any, it could make a big difference to your overall picture.
dlb I would have made the child-who-pressed-the-emergency-button- without-telling-you go down and get the tokens. Bet they wouldn't do it again! Hope your mum is OK.
Moggins welcome back. It's great to hear everything is going well.
Rzl have a lovely time tonight..and I;m sure John Lewis will sort it out. If you can, get them to give you a new one rather than repair existing. Once you've accepted a repair, you're stuck with it, even if they have to keep repairing it.
<<tickb>> sorry to hear you're feeling so down. Don't worry about playing catchup, the whole point of FlyLady is to "jump in wherever you are".
<<HUGS>> to the non sleepers, those with nonsleeping partners, and terrible teenagers
Congratulations JOckett on the incredible weight loss. I lost 42lb three years ago. I went from a 16 to a 12, and really resented having to buy new clothes in between as I was determined to get it all off. I put about a stone and a half back on, but have not been motivated enough to shift it. Well done you!
mioliere After yesterdays crusty rolls, what are you baking today? btw, does your BM have a dough and/or pizza dough setting?
And finally Hello and a Friday Hug to each and everyone else who's already posted and who will post after me.
Went to see baby Zara yesterday, 1 day old. I'm not a baby person at all (did I tell you I once dropped my first grandchild when he dribbled on me?), as they all just look like babies to me. But I love my DSS1 and his wife very much, this is their first baby, and I did feel a bit of a surge of warmth. Not quite sure why: this is number 5 and I didn't get that feeling with any of the others. Not even with my lovely DSD's two babies, and I am even closer to her than I am to DSS1.
Went to the gym as well, and my leg held up womanfully, but ached quite a lot a few hours afterwards (despite me taking care to do my cool down exercises). Will try and go tomorrow if I can sneak out. DH still doesn't know i've joined a gym. I live in hope that he will commend on my new physique and I can tell him then. But I suppose I have to wait for the new physique to arrive first!
Which it won't do in the ear future as Im finishing up yesterday's American Choc Chip cookies as I type. They are made with 70% cocoa choccie drops that I bought in bulk from Merchant Gourmet. Yu-um. Funny, I never used to be able to eat plain chocolate, but I gave up sugar (in drinks) three years ago and my palate has really changed
Not sure what I'm up to today, will pop back later and catch up.0 -
Once again the site has thrown me off.................sorry cannot be bothered to type it all againWas 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0

Morning all :j
slept really well myself last night went to bed at 10 and woke at 8.30:eek: . So me and the little one have decided we need a morning off, and she's not going to playgroup:rolleyes: Still she's really cuddly and keeps yawning so I 'spose she needs it.
I spent all day sorting the front garden yesterday. We have awful heavy clay soil here, and i've spent two years getting one tiny border into a decent state to plant anything in. Finally yesterday, I got some plants in:j I have to admit that next week i've got a gardener starting here for me. I want a vegetable plot dug, but there's no way my back will hold with all that digging,
So I decided it will be worth having someone do it for me. He's cheapish but good, and has turned my friends garden round beautifully.
As a result I've got some catching up to do with the housework, but it'll still be here tomorrow:rotfl:
Right off to do the washing and stuff I suppose.
Have a lovely day everyone.0
