If anyone wants the authorities to investigate, you can report them to their local Trading Standards. If there is anything dodgy about the comp it would be in breach of at least one of the internal rules of this LAW.

    "24. No win situations
Creating the false impression that the consumer has already
won, will win, or will on doing a particular act win, a prize or
other equivalent benefit, when in fact either:
    – There is no prize or other equivalent benefit,"

  • People on Facebook last night were replying that even if you *do* add someone on as admin, they *still* appear under their own name! Not the company who has administered the access...?

They can appear under both. You can switch to appear under the company name to post or like posts. Put into this context, what's the point of having either a manager, content creator, or moderator, that doesn't appear as such when posting whatever to the page. It'd be like, dude, who's this.

But most importantly, they can still use their admin powers whilst under their name.

An option should appear under the menu - You're posting as [sic] - or you can use edit to select to use Facebook as [username]. You can switch back and forth with that. The former doesn't always appear.

I've got one page connected to my account.

Can I just say, for the record that Lynda comes from my home town and although I do not know her personally, I can confirm that she does not work for Skillens jewellers and as far as I know, she never has done. Spiers, sometimes spelt Speers and sometimes spelt Speirs, and Skillen are very common surnames around here, along with Annett, Cunningham and Hanna, so it may be a coincidence that she has skillens listed as friends/relatives. If the competition was a scam, then they deserve All the negative publicity, but if is is genuine, I feel sorry for both the company and the lady for what they are going through.

Without appearing daft why would the police be looking into this? On what grounds would they have to investigate?
