Oh, and while I'm here - tried home made fly spray on the boys this morning because I'm fed up with forking out to replace trashed fly sheets and it seems to be working.
500ml cold tea (I'm just going to put a jug of water by the kettle and put the used ones into it)
2 tablespoons of clear vinegar
A dribble of Avon Skin So Soft dry oil (be careful with this, some horses can be allergic to it - I was actually going to use a teaspoon of Dettol instead, but couldn't find ours!)
Seems to be doing the trick so far, they had clouds of cleggs around them when they came to be fed this morning, but not a one anywhere near once they'd been wiped over with this (I sprayed it onto a sponge first because Merlin is a bit of a wuss about spray bottles).0 -
Good morning, beautiful photo Trudi and love the name Grape
Thanks for the fly spray recipe Caz, will have to try that one out
So a lovely weekend, OH came up friday met hossie, she likes him cos he gave her a good scratch then relaxed at home. Saturday took OH to see my house as he hasnt been there before, now he knows what a big task I have ahead of me, if I do sell or whatever happens he has offered to help so thats nice. Then we cleaned his car and out to dinner with my parents, a NSD as mum offered to pay
Sunday did hoss then went back to Kent, NSD for me but OH bought a new car, he is fab with money got £5k on finance but the rest out of his savings. So min debt for him and if we do move in together or whatever happens we are both on the same outlook finance wise as that will really help. Think a lot of my problem is ex, I do admit to being not great with money but since we have split I am really working hard and ex is just carrying on, there is such a vast gap in the way we think about money that I believe there would have always been a problem and there would have always been some debt somewhere. At least out of that situation now and moving forward is a lot better
NSD today, lunch bought in, food out of the freezer for tonight.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good morning
TFI Friday
So a good week, not much spending, hoss trainer cancelled as weather rubbish, bought some carrotts for hoss, choc for friends birthday and thats about it. Been eating out of stores for lunch and dinner :money:
Mortgage out today, also minimum payment has come out for the card that is standing at 0, so will ring them up on Monday to send payment back otherwise will be in credit on my card, ha thats a first :rotfl: Can use the money elsewhere for shopping. Hate this week in the month before payday most payments have gone out, havent had any survey money through so at a bit of a stand still with the debt busting, very boring.
Of to Kent again this weekend, going to pick up OH's new car tomorrow and then probably a lazy oneDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Trudij done that link, so hope you get the referral ok.
Lovely non spendy weekend, OH picked up new car, nice and shiney, he is going to get me insured so when we go on hols in Sept can drive so he can have a drink if he wantsDidnt spend a penny, OH had loads of food in, went to shop on Sun am but OH paid just to get a few bits as his parents came down for a few hours for lunch which was lovely.
Came home to a £10 sainsburys voucher from survey sites and 2 washing powder tabs from free sample
Spoke to bank yesterday and the £53 should be refunded in few days so that CC will be 0 and not in credit.
No spend day yesterday and today, lunch bought in and food sorted for dinners.
Spendy day tomorrow, taking lawnmower back to shop as broke but luckily within guarantee period, need to get a photo done to renew driving licence, not sure how much but assume DVLA will charge me! Also need to pick up a few toiletries, but have £4 boots vouchers so that will help and get a few groceries but will use the £10 voucher so again limiting the actual spend
Really happy with OH at the moment, things seem to be progressing really well, taken long enough to find someone who I feel really comfortable with and seems the same way about me, so really enjoying itDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

[FONT="]Afternoon
So a productive lunch hour today. My lawnmower broke luckily my mum had paid £20 for insurance so the lawnmower was swapped ok and for extra £5 guaranteed replacement for another 3 years
Body spray and shampoo bought in boots but used vouchers from survey site so free
£10 voucher in sainsburys too so only £14 spent on weekly shop! Going to write a customer complaint to sainsburys though as wouldn’t let me redeem nectar points as not my usual store and you have to spend in the store 3 or 4 times before you can redeem unless you go to customer services and takes about 10 mins manually, grrr. Apart from that very money saving lunch hour :money:

Glad you and oh are getting on so well, great news on the voucher and freebies. I can't believe you can't use Nectar points in different stores I don't see the logic in why they would prevent anyone using them! Barmy!
