MOOLOO'S Muddling on into 2013

I had to take this week off of work. I felt the stress building and had aimed to tidy up twin 2's place with her. But she has not been in when I wanted to go, then I took a turn for the worse and have stayed close to home.
I was controlling twin2's money but there isn't much of it, and then she missed sending a sick note so they missed a payment. That resulted in me still handing over the money for the bills. But it appears that they were not honest with me and it wasn't all going on the gas. So gas account now back in arrears. Then twin2 has now gone and signed herself off of ESA and signed on for JSA yesterday. So that will then be going into her account again, basically taking the control of her money back from me. Nothing I can do about it.
So I am £140 out of pocket and there will be more as the benefit will take time to come through. I don't want to give her anymore money.
The fuel bills are all prepay meters and they are greedy to say the least. Not with standing that if I don't physically get the top up, it doesn't get on the gas. So then the spiral begins. No gas, no cooker, no heating, no hot water.
Just frustrated. The social don't seem to want to do anything to help me with them. Don't even keep me in the loop unless I chase them.
I am not sure I can keep up work and the twins. Something has to give other then my health again. The pain in my left side is back with avengance. So it's definitely stress related. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Feeling Alot better today. Wrote Pages and pages in my diary to turn my head around.
Taking each day as it comes.
Still saying No. To the twins. DS has had his knuckles wrapped so to speak by biggest of Mooloos over his use of my bank details for Xbox. She has sorted it out via her laptop that he cannot keep topping up his games without my knowledge.
Hopefully he will pull his finger out and start helping me as well.
DGD.has a cough and the snuffles, but it didn't stop us from going to watch the fireworks last night. We were lucky with the weather as the day had been very wet.
Still have a few jobs of sewing outstanding but did manage to get a few alterations done on Friday.
Nearly back on track. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

How on earth could you not know? He has a serious problem if he's stealing from you, and so do you.
Errata I think you are being a bit harsh on Mooloo, I assume you have never had an Xbox in your home.
The way it works is you can purchase things through your Xbox and it stores the card details whether you want them to or not so I assume at one point Mooloo gave her card details willingly for something and then the Xbox has saved them.
It is DS who is the problem. (Although if you read all the papers and the stories about young children running up debt on their parents ipads etc (by playing games and buying items within the game) you realise that this sort of thing happens to everyone)
We did something similar for our son - he gave us the cash for Xbox live (£40) and we paid on our credit card for him. The following year it automatically took it off the credit card again even though DS had purchased one from Argos which was cheaper.
I could never work out how to remove our card details but then DH defaulted on the credit card and that stopped the payments.
I know I was lucky that DS did not buy in game items otherwise I expect we would have suffered like Mooloo.0 -
Thanks EE. That's exactly what has happened. I had bought the Xbox originally. Putting a game on it for him. But he seems oblivious to the costs of his in game purchases. He always seems surprised when I tell him money has gone out again. Bit of a running battle. Lets hope it's fixed now.
Or I will be cancelling that particular bank account. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo, if you don't need to use that card for a few days, you could ring the back to say you have you lost your card and ask for a replacement, then the old one can't be used again.0

Just read a few pages.
Regarding the above that I have highlighted. Of course they they don't, they are stretched to the limit both for staff and resources and they know that if they don't do something you will.
I'm afraid that you must get tough, say enough is enough and as hard as it will be you must walk away and force the issue.
A friend of mine has an ex with mental health issues. She used to help and, like you, got dumped on. The police would find him wandering and call her to come and get him. All they wanted to do was pass him on and avoid the paperwork and everything that went with it, someone else's problem.
In the end she refused and they had no choice other than to process him properly, get him assessed and admitted to hospital, something she'd been trying to arrange for months without success. She'd been told all manner of things from no room at the inn, no available psychiatric nurse, no available social worker, no funding etc. etc. Endless excuses.
They knew that they didn't have to do anything as long as there was someone out there who would. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
You can remove your bank details if you phone them, we did this when we were burgled and the xbox was stolen.0
