Morning, am not sleeping very well at the moment so I feel tired before the day starts. It was good to have dinner nearly ready when I got home last night. But as I was so tired nothing else got done! Today there are loads of odd jobs that should be tackled but how many I must up the energy to do is yet to be seen. I need a trip into the loft for curtains this morning so I can take them to Biggest this afternoon when I go Babysitting. And I have more bags for Zimbabwe to do. Insurance for the bike and the CBT test to arrange for DS.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

The loft was visited! My golly gosh I have so much fabric and clothes for recycling up there! Curtains swapped and big ones taken to Biggest when I went to get DGD2. But wasn't able to do my sewing. Still have DGDs at the moment. Both girls are in the bath. Then will take her back. But the bike test is booked and the insurance paid for. (On the credit card!) Visited one of the Mums this morning and collected the books for the other school. Not sure if they are going to be able to get them there as they are so heavy. We will see.
By the time I get back it will be time to rest up I think. So any other jobs will have to roll over till another day.

Biggest of Mooloo had a great birthday, even though the balloon flight was cancelled. I was up and down a lot last night and today has been a slog. It was lovely that Molly came over to see me for an hour. The rest of the day was taken up by sewing 6 bags, their cases and then 7 pencilcases. With a trip to collect DS as the work can had a flat. Then a trip to the post office to post a parcel of a dress I sold on eBay. Still waiting for the other person to pay before I can post that off. I did one wash load but as its been a cats and dogs day, it's wet washing in the way now.
I did a BBQ sauce on some belly pork strips for tea. I followed a Shirley Goode recipe from an old book I have had for 31 years.
But it's now time to get DGD to bed. Then I think I might retire with a cup of tea and a book on my kindle.
I have work tomorrow but not feeling in the mood at the moment. Working on the computer is not really why I took the job.

Of course I got through my Thursday and Friday at work, although things at home are still piling up on me. DGD went to her grandad for the weekend which gave me time to rest up and see the BF. I was torn between the decision to go to his or to use my time to do the house. But the house lost out. We had takeaway Fri night and he even did me bacon and egg for breakfast. Both days! We went shopping in the afternoon and I bought some new wellies and and I bought a little black dress for 49p!
Saturday he took me out for a drink so I actually got to wear a good frock and heels! Eek. Must learn to walk in them better!
Yesterday morning I spent reading on my kindle before going to do his food shopping and picked up a few bits for home. I just got home long enough to boil the kettle when DGD got home.
    Watched Downton Abbey in bed.
So today I am a bit more relaxed. Wouldn't quite say refreshed as still tired because I don't sleep well. But least I am not stressed out. Although DS had his mates around and had a party! Of which the place is still rather tipsy turvey. But at least it's still standing!
This week he takes his bike test and then will be on the roads.
I drive to Potters Bar to deliver some charity things.
I also hope to get a start on the clutter. Another dress sold on eBay. But it's slow going. Least this one paid already. One last week didn't.
Time to get on and get DGD ready for school.

  • I understand the need to clear clutter! I'm in the same boat. I feel like my home is closing in on me sometimes.

Did DS have your permission to have a party while you were away? I hope he intends on cleaning up all of the mess and more. xxx

Today I have been down to Potters Bar to deliver some books and bags etc for the Teds and Bags for Zimbabwe.
A few hours out of my day but before I went I did start to get a handle on some of the rooms and I actually cleaned the deep fat fryer that's been sitting on the side for months!
dS did his bike certificate so tomorrow he should be on the road in his own right.
My approved food delivery has arrived so we will be well stocked for a while now. As I have a smaller delivery coming in a day or two aswell. Eek now that means I better sort the cupboards out. Which I should have done before.
I knew DS was having a mate over but didn't realise there was going to be a disco Etc all happening.

Collecting the bike etc took a lot longer then expected as the dealer who was arranging the insurance hadnt done it. So we had to hang around for another two hours. Then I led the way back home via the back roads so DS could get used to the bike on quieter roads. The fuel we took in the can didn't last long and he ran out of fuel just as he got to work and so I went to get more in the can to top him up and gave him some money to get more fuel before he came home. It was about 4pm when I got home and bar doing dinner and collecting DGD I didn't get much else done. I was reading in bed just after watchdog started!
This morning I have been awake for over an hour but really done zip. Time to get DGD up for school. I am rather jaded and had bad dreams that kept me tossing around a lot in the night. I am wishing for a duvet day rather then a day on the computers at work!
Then this afternoon I have been asked to collect twin1's shopping and deliver it to hers while she rides up on her bike! Yep she has got a bicycle! For someone who is generally quiet lazy this is an insight!
That's on my way home anyway.
The rest of my Approved Delivery is coming today so asking the neighbour to take my parcel in.
DS has gone to work with them today. Yesterday he was Playacting the Romans at the Mueseum for a bunch of school kids.

I couldn't go to work today in the end. My depression held me in a 'vice' of negativity and pent up aggression so I deemed it safer to stay at home. I have not quite had a duvet day, but I have been trying to take my feelings to task and sort myself out before the slide hits.
I hoped the sunshine may help as apprised to working in a room with no windows.
What I have achieved is some research into renting space for workshops etc. what else I worked on was trying to get the washing sorted etc but I am exhausted with the efforts. Which is not the best position to be in. Fighting yourself is not an easy place to be. I have done some talking with my Mummy friends at the school gate and that lifted me a little bit. I am waiting for a parcel to be delivered and then I do have to venture out to get twin1's shopping.
