Time certainly flys. To think that I have been recording our lives on here now for 6 years! Am I any the wiser? Erm probably a little. Am I any the better of financially? Definitely but it's still tight. Am I any the healthier? Yep. But still need to work on fitness levels. But I can walk unaided now. I can even just manage to do my own hair without collapsing half way through. I am even working again. Who would have thunk! So to speak.
And DGD? Well she's a bright little button dispite her dyslexia and dyspraxia. She's happy, well adjusted and were a little team. I can not think of a life without her around now.
I have made life long friends here and so has she.
Things have come along way in those six years.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Wow where did the time go? The party was a great success. The weather was lovely enough for us to use the garden for the majority of the afternoon. All the kids and the adults that stayed had a great time. The piñata went down a treat. It took quite a beating for it to give up its goodies!
Sunday and glorious weather saw me sitting I the sun on the garden swing and reading on my kindle.
Monday and I was on the computer at work. Long day. I miss the sewing, but jobs need to be done.
Tuesday and I spent the day working on all my little projects. Sorting and putting up some clothes on EBay. Then started making the bags and pencil cases for the Zimbabwe school.
Along with homemade soup for lunch, then Beef cobbler for tea. But I was exhausted after all that and then I went to bed and watched TV. DIY SOS last night showed me that I was lucky that me twins were not as badly effected as they could have been.
Today I started to get the pillowcases in that people are donating for me to making into bags for the school. Then I made the little pants before starting to make some bunting that my daughter wanted for her little girls. ( her daughter and her BF's).
Now after a bit of lunch, it's time to get back to the sewing machines.

Kept busy sorting out clothes for resale at work. They have given me half a dozen pillowcases to turn into bags for the children in Zimbabwe as well as some pencils and rubbers that were lurking. So greatfully received and will be making the bags ASAP. Was cold though as no heating in the old unit we were working in. Don't envy the ladies on the market stall tomorrow! Also managed to but some clothes for the grandchildren ready for the winter which is just in time!

I have the snuffles today. Started sneezing at work yesterday. Had hoped it was just caused by dust but its a cold. Drat. Taking DS to look at motor bikes today so I better wrap up warmly. Twin2 is having DGD as her Mum has gone back with her BF for a few days. Will make it easier to look around without little people.
The heating is on now. Still on a price promise deal this winter so hopefully the scares of fuel rises will not worry me too much.

Ground Zero again. We bought the motorbike for DS and all the gear to go with it. So all my savings etc are gone. The bank balances are all depleted and I will be putting my frugal skills to good use once more. Who would have thought that we would be able to purchase a car and a bike in less then a month? WOW but major thanks have to go to my dad who put up half of the money.
The challenge is to now rebuild the bank balance and to get the Emergency Funds together again.
But I am not living in fear, as I know how to save and to rebuild our funds after so many years of working at the budget.
If we have an emergency before the savings are there I do have the credit card to fall back on.
I have a sale on EBay. One out of six is better then a poke in the eye with a sharpe stick!
    Onwards and upwards.

Mooloo - who is paying for the motorbike insurance? Is it you - or is it in DS' name?

It will be in his name. I can't ride a motorbike nor would I wish too. He will need his own insurance. I will have to pay it as he doesn't have an income at the moment. But he will be taking it over as soon as he does get proper work. It may grate on some followers that I am doing this but After discussing this with my father it's the best option that he will get to get work.

Morning All. It's focus time. The slow cooker is on so we will be welcomed home by the smells of a chicken casserole. The weather is appalling so not looking forward to the school run. Standing around a wet playground waiting for teachers to collect the kids.!
another week where DS has 3 days labouring work. Yippee.
I have 3 days work as well. Tomorrow is biggest of Mooloos birthday and I am babysitting in the afternoon.
twin1 is still away. Twin2 is at twin1s as she had to set off some flea bombs. The lodgers had a cat towards the end of their stay and it had visitors. That set her back £25! So I expect I will need to use my funds to help her during the week ahead.
I have made sandwiches so I don't have to buy lunch and thrust some into DSs hand when he left for work.
