At last with my new car I was back on the road and able to get to work yesterday. Feels strange driving a different car, and going back to a manual gearbox. But it didn't take long for me to get the feel of the car. And a prayer to my parking Angel managed to get me a space outside my home twice in a row. Must put my order in more often. And remember to say Thankyou of course!
TWIN 1 needed money to help her as she used all her benefit money to pay off her council tax debt. So once more bank of Mum to the rescue. And it's all written down in my book as to how much each of them have had from me since July. When its their birthday I am going to be giving them some shampoo or something and a photocopy of their borrowings and telling them they have had their gifts all year!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Congratulations on your 'new-to-you' car, Mooloo! :D

Good news that it isn't automatic - one less thing to break down, eh?

I refuse to buy a car with electric windows too - which is getting difficult these days, lol.

Hmm. Been doing some reading to try and find out who organises competence tests for vulnerable adults. According to:

    http://www.pohwer.net/our-services/independent-mental-capacity-advocate/

"When someone is assessed by a doctor or social worker as lacking mental capacity to make key decisions in their lives - perhaps because of mental illness, dementia, learning difficulties or brain injury - they can have the help of a specialist independent mental capacity advocate."

This organisation appears to work in your area, Mooloo - they say they are different to similar set-ups in that they can help even when the vulnerable person does have family living locally.

So might be worth getting in touch with them, also asking the Twins' GP to carry out the test (presuming the social worker is either too hard-pressed or inexperienced to get this sorted out).

Once the test has been done and added to the girls' records, I think you - or the girls' advocate - would have cause to complain because SW has simply accepted the Twins cancelling their contracts.

they go wrong more easily than manual ones and generally too difficult for an amateur to fix. My dad used to do all his own car repairs until car began to have more and more electrical systems.
We just got a new 2nd hand car this week and garage confirmed it's almost impossible to get manual windows now.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Robin will hopefully get a reply this week from social about testing for the twins.
We are just currently plodding along. Ido what I can when I can at the moment.
The car is going ok. Not found any issues with it whilst driving it so far which is a bonus.
DS has a days work today helping the builder next door. I got to go into work although I was again on the computer and not the sewing machine.
Am extremely tired andy neck and back aches. Must ask for a better chair if am to be all day at a computer.
Time to go and get DGD from after school club. She's getting excited as she is 6 on Friday but I still haven't managed to get her a birthday present sorted out. Doing a tea party on Saturday for her and about 7 of her little friends. In my tiny house that will be interesting. Lets hope it's nice and we can use the garden!

My headache turned into a migraine and so with DS home, the dinner in the oven, and DGD in his care I was able to go to bed. That was me out of the loop for the rest of yesterday. This morning we are taking the car back for the bushes to be changed. Then hopefully I will be able to concentrate on other things. I have let stuff slide too much lately.
I am joining in the challenge with Elaine on mortgage free in three to cut the budget to the bone and make do as much as we can for this month. Last month being a very expensive one.

Today is DGDs birthday. She is 6. Growing so fast. I am going to be doing her a birthday tea tomorrow for about 8 of her little friends. Thankfully one of the mums is going to come over in the morning and help me move my sewing desk etc out of the way. It's going to be a tight squeeze! Hoping for a dry day so we can get out into the garden. Plenty of room there.
I am at work today so she will still have to go to afterschool club first. Then she is going to her MUM for the night. So I have the evening to prepare for the rest of the weekend.
