I think that things are changing at the moment for me and I am spending more time reading and I now also follow Elaine on her blog. I find that I have accepted my lot more but that dwelling on the negative drags me down. Learning to turn my sad days around is my goal.
I cannot change the twins, or DS. All I can try to change is me.
Thursday was a bad day but I did manage to turn it around by the end of the day. I managed to go to work yesterday and get more done. I had a chat with the boss and she understands that my family is challenging etc and that I am not always able to juggle work and life.
The friends I have made on here have definitely been a big part of my glue. But I also wonder how I can help others etc the dealings with social, with benefits, with those challenges have changed now. The systems are changing as I am.
I may not hover on MSE as much because I am working more.
But I do pop in. I will still pop in. I do miss the interaction but Zi also get that with the mums at school and at work. I didn't have that when I first came on here.

  • Sounds like you have many more ways of coping. I hope that life is being kind to you. xxx

Little things are positive. Friday I won £15 on the lottery. The postcode one. It was a surprise to see it in the bank. Not much but very helpful. Along with another dress sold on eBay.
In Oxford this weekend. BF found huge dolls house that was his daughters under the stairs so DGD has been having fun playing with that.
DS had a job interview yesterday. Hoping it will give him more shifts which he can now do as he has the motorbike to get about with.

    .

I loved your whole post from yesterday but I especially loved this sentence :j:T:j

I am so glad that life is getting better for you and DGD.

Do you think the medication you were taking for your 'illness' was actually making you worse - it seems since you stopped taking a lot of them you have come on in leaps and bounds:)

I stopped taking All of them! I weened myself off of them and use rest, heat and positive affirmations! Feel so much better then I did that's true. The cocktail of drugs were not helping me really. Dumbfounded my doctor though. Only have my hormone patch now.
This hour change is not helping me today. Am shattered. Lazy evening for me. Will get up and go again tomorrow!

I am still fighting my body clock since the change of the clocks. So mostly been waking too early and having to go to bed early as a result.
DGD has been going to the School Holiday club while I have been going to work. She really enjoys it there and it's good to see her so happy and contented.
DS had a job interview last weekend but hasn't had the results. Which is a pity. He really needs to get a regular income coming in. Although I am managing the money reasonably well.
I did have to order a new washer/dryer as mine has given up drying. But on the plus side it means that twin2 can have it for the washing side as she hasn't had a working machine for several months now.
So that should be here soon and we will solve some of both of our problems.
Twin1 seems to be doing okay. She had DGD for the night on Tuesday which gave me a night off. Then I got to go and see my other granddaughter on Wednesday morning, then we went to MK with them both and biggest of Mooloo.
Now we are into November and the twins will be 25 this month.!
    How time flys!

Had a bit if a dip in my optimism over the last few days. dS came off his bike. Only a little damage to his elbow as he was in all the gear. But bike also damaged. He will need a new indicator cover, and the roll bar is bent and scratched a lot. But I give thanks that's all. However it was the start of a few more stresses. Both twins needed money again for fuel and text asking Saturday within 5 mins of each other. Leaving my bank extremely low. Which sends my stress level higher. Then I seem to have found every little stress a huge mountain. From not finding DGDs P e kit, to not managing to pay for her school lunches on line. Meaning that I have to make her packed lunches this week. Another little thing but it sent me walking home in tears! Stupid. My sons making a mess in the garden with his collection if tents, gazebo's and wooden pallets.
Stupid stuff. I know it's daft. But it's all getting to me.
I have concentrated on my bags for Zimbabwe this afternoon.
Just to do something different. But my machine bulb has now blown and it blew the fuse in the foot pedal. So we are at a standstill for now. 6 bags finished and 6 part made. So not too bad for one day.
Hopefully I will find my mojo again soon.

  • Sorry to hear that your son came off his new motorbike. I hope it will be able to be fixed without too much cost. x

Trying hard with positive affirmations etc. not achieving desired results though.
Have had my hair done today as the grey routes were everywhere! First time since beginning of August. Was a bit cold there and haven't warned up since. Did small food shop on way back. Twin2 wanting more money for gas. Again? Won't send it to her will go and get it myself tomorrow as money obviously not going on it . Finally got hold of the social worker to update etc. meeting tomorrow at 2pm. Mmm the girls have been left to their own devices too long and consequences are now appearing.
DGD school rang the Mum and not me today when they had a problem! Am rather annoyed at them. I said Why didn't they ring me first and I got a why ? Look at the bleep bleep paperwork! Oh yes sorry mrs S my mistake! Too bleep right it's a mistake! Useless. Someone show me someone who is not an idiot in authority please! My sanity depends on it.
