    Afternoon everyone

Woke up this morning to lots of snow, but its all nearly gone now :) Braved it earlier to Tesco to get the shopping in case it got worse.

Anyone been watching Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners on C4. I love it! It actaully inspired me to do a bit more housework, though not to that level lol.

  • morning everyone, can I please join in ? I've been searching the forums this morning for where best to post, and i think this one looks ideal :)

    Let me introduce myself :-
I have DH - works shifts, and two dd aged 18 and 14, and am just about to go back to work Full Time after 18 years working part time
Dd 1 going to uni in September and needs more financial help, work just undergone a huge reorganisation and I was offered more hours albeit on a different site, which I feel I cannot turn down at this stage in our lives when costs are spiralling. I'm on old style forum and have started grocery challenge, meal planning and a few other things that the fantastic folks over there recommend - I just need to bring it all together !

Will now have a 60 mile round trip to work, instead of a half mile stroll in the morning, will also be doing 50 hours a week (including travel) instead of 24 so going to be away from home more than double the time I am now.
Oh and DD's know they have to help more, meal plans are drawn up, chores list made etc etc but I still feel I am in for a HUGE change and I need to get my head round it all and get organised. Sleepless nights are aplenty with the thought of it all.

Sort of feel I' d like to fast forward 6 months and be at a stage where it's all settled down IYKWIM ??

sorry for the long post -I know I just need to get my chin up and get on with it but .....................:D. Open to any hints/tips from people who seem to do all this (and much more !!)

thanks for listening xxx (reading :rotfl:)

I'd love to join your thread! Goodness knows I had great intentions to get loads done this year but so far very little has actually been achieved and we are a quarter through the year!
I find that after looking after my 3yr old all day come evening when I should be getting things done all I want to do is sit and veg out, I am lacking motivation (and botherdness if that is a word!)

Anyway ... my daughter starts school next year so I will have a bit more day time to myself and I don't really want to spend it doing all the things that need doing now, so I am going to get my bum in gear and start making plans tomorrow/today to
    1) Get the house all finished
    2) Get the gardens all finished
    3) Sort myself out, lose weight, get a nice wardrobe sorted, take a bit pride in myself etc
    That'll do to begin with.
I would hope my daughter looks back with memories of having a nice home and a chilled mammy, and at the minute it's not happeneing!

welcome MarilynMonroe - there's not many of us left but those who are are lovely :D

I fancy spring cleaning to Lundsay but a) I still have tons of boxes of unsold stuff that I've nowhere else to put things I 'sort' and b) I have a major case of the CBA's.

Add to that the fact I carted the kids all the way to the childminders this morning........... no answer - rang her (she was clearly still in bed) to be told she doesn't have them on a bank holiday (I woulda put money on the fact she has in the past). :wall:

Can't take them anywhere as booked my food shopping for 2-4pm today. so they are driving me up the wall instead.

I'm off work now until 16th April, going on hols on 5th - so no more snow OK!!!!!

assuming all my shopping arrives my meal plan for the week is:

Friday - tea - mince and dumplings

Saturday lunch - potato and egg salad
    Saturday tea - spag bol

Sunday lunch - potato and egg salad
sunday Tea - gammon, egg n chips

    Monday lunch - gammon cabanara
Monday tea - spaghetti and meetballs

Tuesday lunch - spaghetti and meetballs
    Tuesday tea - h/m pizza

    Wednesday lunch -
    toasties/ beans on toast
wednesday tea - hot dog pasta bake

    Thursday lunch - bitsa lunch
    Thursday tea - bitsa tea

other things I must do this week on top of the usual that I post:
    1) MUST sort out the tupperwear boxes - hmm might even do it now.
    2) Pack for holiday!!!!!!
    3) try and sort some sort of itenery for holiday (no not as in 9am do x, 10am do x but as in saturday - go to x, sunday ....) as then i can try and sort out busses/ money etc.
Anyone live near Borth who has some fab ideas (I have the animalarium so far :rotfl::p)

    Hi lovelies,

I am still around but don't get much time to read.

I am v good at keeping on top of the washing, hate putting it away but like loading the machine lol.

Only rooms that seem to stay tidy are the front room and the toilet!

The kitchen is a dumping ground for everything and no one ever wants to wash up.

Need to do a big clear out of the youngest 2's room they have far too many toys and not enough space to store them in.

I managed to take all the covers off the couches and cushions and give them a wash.
Hoping for the weather to warm up. So i can get my windows washed and get my nets down.

Enjoy your Easter weekend folks, i love an excuse to eat chocolate.

    Happy Good Friday everyone!!!

Today started really well. Got up 5.50 (not good but still got work bodyclock!)
3 loads of washing, 1 in dryer 2 hung out (lovely!)
    Washing up put away
    Dishwasher loaded

    Kitchen
cleaned worktops/tiles/cupboard doors/cooker hob/kettle/toaster/bread bin/scales/table/microwave/sink & drainer (detail them as 'proper' clean done and took ages!)

Then things went downhill. Took mum to Asda to get girls pizza and sweets for their sleepovers tonight. In Asda for an hour (because everyone wanted pizza!) got to car park, lots of cars queuing to get out, man comes tells us accident down the road so the whole town come to standstill!! Left home at 1.30pm to buy pizzas, got home at 4.40pm!!!!!
Def not impressed and doubly not impressed when the little gits left most of the pizza!
So have bigger list for tomorrow as by the time took mum home, friend popped round for coffee, hubby rang from offshore, cooked tea (mine needed cooking) it was nearly 7.30!!!!
    So, list for tomorrow is

    Ironing
    Clean bathroom (from today)
Spring clean my bedroom (from today)
2 hours coursework (1 hour from today)
Online shopping for delivery mon/tues (from today)
    Empty dw
    1 load of washing
    cook tea
    walk dog 3 times
    Sort front room
    take dd2 for guitar lesson

Not impressed as was trying to spread everything over the 2 weeks but really want to stay on track as have booked a few days out with friends so on these days nothing other than coursework and general tidy will be done.

Hope everyone has had a good day, now off to bed, good night xxxxx
Need to sort my life out! :T
