never ever ever ever ever ever let me go to Morrisons on a saturday again!!!!
Hell doesn't begin to describe it. everywhere I turned someone had dumped the trolly in the middle of the aisle or worse they were just STOOD there!!!!!
I literally ran (well as fast as you can with 2 kids in a trolly and people everywhere) to the juice and milk. got them and sought refuge in the cafe.
But HORROR of HORRORS - I asked if I could possibly have a cheese sandwich made up (at 12.30) becuase there was only 1 on the shelf. Seriously you would have thought I'd asked them for the world on a plate. After umming and ahhing over it they eventually made one. for it to turn up looking like a car crash!!!
So am now logging into tesco to get them to deliver everything else tomorrow.
DS1 is playing upstairs. DS2 is not napping in his bedroom so feet up ....... ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
Still can't find the railcard (have found the bite one). No way am I paying £10 for a replacement (it only had 4 months left on it) when for £14 clubcard vouchers I can get a new full year one.
But what's the betting the minute I order one it turns up?!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Hi all! Please may i join in? My names Vicky, i'm 22 and have a 7.5 month old son. I am due back to work on week beginning 25th feb, on a 16hr contract. My Fiance works at a pub 5 days a week, 3 of which are in the evenings so i'm always lost for spare time!
I've read some of the recent posts so far and think this is a great friendly place to get motivated for housework and everything else! I'm a big fan of lists - so much so i will be needing a notepad again soon.
I have just started a meal planner about 3/4 weeks ago now and am finding it so much easier to stick to doing a meal each night without the fuss of finding what me and my OH want. I am a huge lover of bargain hunting and have already got the majority of birthday and christmas presents in the boots sale last month.
I'm abit worried about going back to work as i'm waiting to hear back about a 'flexable working hours' request i've had to send off. We have also decided to start saving for a deposit, with an aim of 3 years for a set amount to start us off, although by then i'm sure the deposits will of increased more! We're also spending this coming week re-plastering the kitchen (family friends' house we're renting who are in America!) and painting the hallway, so is bound to get hectic!
Sorry for waffling, i hope it's okay to join and i look forward to sharing and reading tips and advice0 -
Hello everyone! After a week of what felt like a nightmare I am back and ready to start again! After court, we had a very busy week at work, and people dropping down sick everywhere! But now it is half term, contact arrangments hopefully sorted and hoping (and praying) life can return and be a little less stressful.
Happy saturday evening to you all. x
Be back soon with an update on my list!£2 Savers club £0/£150

Thanks for the heads up re ebay free listings Chickywiggle. Just as well, I hadn't got round to do the photos anyway. Ebay is such a hated chore for me. What is preloved? Is it any easier?
Sorry Morrisons was such hell. I have switched to doing my weekly shop mid-week and straight after dropping LO at nursery and it is a much calmer - I can get round, keep focussed on my list instead of getting stuck behind people and browsing the shelves for things I don't really need.
We're off to Yorkshire Dales for Easter - bit worried its a bad choice - what if the weather is bad/LO finds it boring. But booked now so will have to suck it and see. Holidaying used to be easy but factoring in a small child really seems to limit your options. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
morning vicky .
glad things are sorted Lindsay, hope things get better from now on.
preloved is a free selling site. Its really easy to upload pics and write your info etc. So long as you accept paypal to give you protection then you can offer postage. I don't have a brill selling rate with it (for the first week i think it is only paying members can reply to your ads) but you literally just log in once a week click them all the re-list. even once they expire they can be retrieved.
i always give it a chance before ebay.
I've defo got a bug - splitting headache, voice is going, sore throat, occasional ear ache and shattered................... yyyuuccckkkk.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
so looks like Sainsbury's will be the cheapest to 'supply' our fuel for the next year - anyone had any experiences with them?loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0

Have you also tried the free listing sites on facebook? We have several ones for our local area - search under facebay(townname). I find most stuff sales pretty well on there, I have been tempted by some nice pine furniture people have been selling on there but trying to resist!
Managed to sell the old rabbit run, which we are going to use towards spending money for a holiday. We are trying to save for a house deposit, but the children will most likely be going away for 7 nights with their dad this year so OH decided we should go away too so im not sat her counting the hours for them to return!
So fat today I have -
Cleaned the inside of the windows/ patio doors in the living room (really need to get the outside ones done!)
Cooked casserole, roasties and yorkshire puddings for lunch (now eaten),
Vacuumed downstairs
Cleaned all the inside frames for the patio doors - the house is very poorly insulated (rented) and we get terrible mould around the windows/ patio doors that I spend all my time wiping down. We should have the windows open more but it gets so cold in the house I dont much in winter. Any ideas for what else I can do? With it being rented I really dont like spendning money on it. Ive got to go out later to get some more wood paint where it keeps chipping off on the skirting due to the damp.£2 Savers club £0/£150

ohh thanks - i'm on about 6 local selling sites on facebook but hadn't seen facebay one. have requested a join.
We get mould on our external walls too. Just discovered mould resistant paint*. Paint it on - then paint your wall colour over the top when dry (so only really recommended if you are doing the lot anyway). only did it a month or so ago so awaiting the results.
my landlords bright idea was to run a dehumidifier constantly.....you can tell we pay the electric bills - they were soon told to shove it!!!
*think ours was cheaper then this and you only paint the affected bit not the whole wall.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
YAYAYAY I found the railcard -just where you would expect it to be....... behind the radio/ speakers in my bedroom on top of the jewellery box!!
glad I found it now - it actually wasn't due for renewal until August (not June as I first thought).
Am not even contemplating completing this list in full this week - so long as it's not pooring with rain I think I'm taking my boys out for the day and I refuse to 'work' on a Monday evening especially with a cross-stitch deadline.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored.
