I have to say I like making lists far more than I like actually doing anything! Hence why I have loads of lists and don't seem to have done too much.
I've done two hours of my assignment and actually feel like I am getting somewhereI've stopped now as I will never sleep. I'm sitting having a cup of tea and a dairy milk bar watching The Hotel, always makes me laugh how unmanaged or overmanaged it seems to be.
Well I should be starting my schedule tomorrow, just need to print out the first page and see how I get on tomorrow! I'm a bit scared incase it doesn't work after I've spent so long trying to sort it out!0 -
This weekend I've naff all but have fun with my boy, cook, shop for bits online and spend time reading up on what I've decided will be the finishing touch to either the living room or dining room (can't decide as my sockets are in odd places!)....a blue and crimson Siamese fighting fish
Always wanted one and they're so beautiful it can count as an accessory:rotfl:
That counts as getting the house finished, right?:o
Have to crack on tomorrow, like there's a firework up my butt! Two reasons: A.I've discovered how wonky my recently laminated living room floor is and need to take it all up- I can either spend forever levelling it (pfft!) or carpet it.Carpet is a pain as it takes more cleaning and will have to be pale BUT I really can't be arsed to level the floor, wait a couple of days for it to dry then refit the laminate! So,buying and fitting the carpet this week grrr
B.My original plan was to have everything finished by Friday as it's my birthday and I would like to relax:rotfl:If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

My boy is 2.5 and goes to various preschool classes art ones mainly I can no longer get away with leaving the item behind as now he wants to bring it home and show daddy! but some playgroups sometimes do craft days too, ontop of what i do at home with him. I was taking photos and intend to put together in a scrapbook, that seems to work on stuff with me, but from other places he likes to keep or shred and keep the bits he pulled apart!
would a pinboard just for his stuff work??
How do you store yours????
With paintings/drawings I keep them in portfolios and/or stick them in large cheapy scrapbooks.Anything else, well that just takes up room lol ds has a large volcano and castle on his desk,in his room, that he made at schoolIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
Thank you to everyone for your support re the ex. Sadly since my last message things have only got worse - my only advice to anyone without kids yet - choose your baby father very carefully! I will be going to a solicitor to find out my options re harrassment, its getting very stressful.
Spent a few hours in work on saturday sorting some stuff out and getting ready for this week Today had a few hours tidy up and clean around the house then spent the afternoon with a friend at a spa thanks to a Groupon voucher. Been pretty lazy since then as all sleepy!
Bagpuss38m-I hate mopping too. It doesnt get done very often
Chickywiggle– sounds very similar to my OH! I find a good moan helps temporarily. I usually give him a list of jobs for the week but it goes in one ear and out the other! On saturday I rfused to cook dinner as I always do so rather than him having to cook he paid for a take-awayI then left it in the kitchen until he cleared it away in the dishwasher (which he claims he doesnt know how to use!?!

Let them look at them etc, then when they go to bed put them in a 'safe' place. If they ask, they are in the safe place for later. I keep the lovely ones in a special box, the rest get recycled! Otherwise yo uend up with lots of paper with the odd line on it!£2 Savers club £0/£150

So sorry your having such a bad time lindsaygalaxy, I'm glad you got some chill out time at a spa though. Chin up, it'll all come right in the end.
Have printed out my schedule, I might even be organised tomorrow!!! How exciting, if not extremely sad, god I need to get a life!!!!!! I promise I will, once my house is tidy0 -
Morning all,
I haven't had a chance to catch up on the thread yet, hopefully later.
I am so glad that both Hubby's weekend (last week Thurs/Fri) and the real weekend are over. Almost nothing got properly done. Hubby managed to not buy the new curtain pole we need for our bay window, but did at least manage to measure it and the kids' computer that hubby had only just made so I can get on my machine has broken and needs a new hard drive. Oh well.
So far 2 of the kids are up for school and the washing machine is on.
Need to:
Re-tidy living room
Dust
Hoover
2 more washing loads
Dig out some paperwork for Hubby
Have a great day!Spam Reporter Extraordinaire

Morning, well today was the start of the new schedule/plan. Unfortunately the baby has been up since 6.30 so I thought I'd get on with things, so, so far I have:
Stripped my bed and put in new sheets
Stripped baby's bed and put on new sheets
Done 2 wash loads
Tidied the Lounge
Deep cleaned the high chair
Cleaned the kitchen sinks
Cleaned the work tips
Cleaned the hob
Cleaned te cooker front and fridge
Unloaded and reloaded dishwasher
Had a shower, washed my hair
Got dressed, put face on
Fed fish
Emptied bins upstairs
Washed up
Ok well I think that's it, yes I've got tons done, but I'm yet to do the hooverin and wash the floors and having done so much already I'm exhausted!!! And I'm feeling rather stressed about trying to get everything done! Hmmm might have to have a bit of a rethink of this schedule lark!0 -
It's very quiet on here today, I hope everyone is ok and just quiet as they are just too busy being motivated
I've just sat down, just done the ironing, baby has been asleep for 45minutes, whats the betting he will wake up any second now im having a sit down!
Still not liking my schedule just feel really rushed, rather than enjoying myself.
Still have to hang up the wet washing and hoover through downstairs and wash the floorNot sure when I'm going to do that....
Going to look at my schedule for tomorrow and see what I can change to make things easier.....0 -

i have a Large box with a lid. everything goes in that from baby wrist bands from hospital to a tiny babygrow to painting to an eggbox caterpiller to the baby books (which i never filled in properly).
when it's full I guess I'll start another one.
kingfisherblue hope everyone is feeling better now.lindsaygalaxy wrote: »- eek a solicitor doesn't sound good, hope all improved with time.

fat chance here - even that would come out the joint money. which come to think of it he had 2 weeks without going out anywhere - so where's the £80 gone
as you can probably tell i've done the finances and paid 1 of the CC's off (as much as I can it's still not showing saturdays shoping on it).
Just the huge balance on the 0% one to go.
which i could pay off quicker but then holiday spends would have to go on the card and that'll acrue more interest then trying to save money.
and just depressed myself that come May my tax credits will apparently be going down nearly £100 love to know why when my situation won't be changing ..... anyone know when information will be available for this new system they reckon will be introduced in April? I can forsea a lot of beans on toast people as tax credits suddenly get chopped with no warning (tho we earn well below the £50,000).
DS2 is supposed to be napping but all I can hear is his police car making a noise (still he's sat on his bed with it so a calm down is better then nothing). better wash the floor before he gets up just so I can bring the buggy home from the school run and drag snow and grit and dirt all over it again.
list updated. I am determined to get last weeks run-overs done today.
starting with transferring addresses into my new smaller and easier to carry address book.
................and must find this years diary.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0
