OK, I've got over my cold, back at works last week but off for a week's leave this week so really really no excuses!
- Dump run - [STRIKE]cardboard[/STRIKE], old PC games and DVD's that won't sell on Magpie, old TV etc. Hurrah! Something actually achived. I also chucked out some old cushions that were lurking along with a bag of old clothes.
- Take the two bags of too-small clothes and summer clothes out to the garage for storage - still sitting there.....
- Grocery stocktake - cupboards, freezer, fridge and garage. I've started the Grocery Challenge too! - Done! Just need to type it up into my template
- Meal plans for January - well, the first week 's been done.
- Cleaning rota for January - to include cat treatments. We always forget to de-flea and worm them
Erm, nope.
- Take down the Xmas decs and pack away again! -
Tree, decs and cards all still in situ!
- List a couple of bits on fleabay. I may not though. A lot of my clutter is caused by my fleabay intentions and it never gets done. I might just take it to the charity shop - Jasper Conran bag anyone? Nope, not done yet!
I'm getting there but in typical butterfly-flitty style!0 -

TI's still exist  do you need to physically go there (sorry if I have missed this bit)..... there is SOO much info on the internet I have planned all trips with what I can find there. what are you after I'm a pretty good googler and if it's there I can probably find it.
We went on our first real holiday last March and I'm hooked again. I soooo wanted to revive my childhood and take the kids to a haven park. They loved it.
So much so when I managed to get a caravan realllly cheap for September we went back to the same park for a few days.
This April we've booked a park in Wales VERY VERY cheap (IMO) for a week (as 4 nights just wasn't long enough :rotfl:) but for just a few quid more we could have an middle grade apartment rather then a caravan so it's a no brainer what we went for.
Think DS1 will be disapointed tho as he reallllly wanted to stay in a caravan.:D
It's a 4 and a half hour train journey (allowing for changes etc) so we are debating:
a) staying in a hotel next door to our train station so we can be on a REALLY early (8.30am) train (additional cost approx £25).... but then a decision over what to do on way back or
b) stay overnight both ways at bristol cutting it into 2 x 2h trips BUT with the added £35ish cost of acccomodation and brekkie both ways.
c) stick it out - with a 4 and a half yr old and a 2yr old.......and a husband.
I used to LOVE Pleasurewood Hills in Great Yarmouth, 3 is probably a bit little tho.
Used to have family who lived in Caister. As someone that runs a caravan park - I'd like people to know that there is nothing wrong with caravans OR the people that stay at the parks. I think its really insulting for people to think there is.
that's a bit harsh, no one was having a go about holiday parks. my husband doesn't like vegetables I wouldn't expect a farmer to tell him there is nothing wrong with them and it's insulting him to say there is.
He was also dubious last year as he had never stayed in a caravan park ever - I think he enjoyed it once he got there.
finished work early today so I could take DS1 swimming and he loveddd it.
was very pleased I had taken the (cooked) mince out the freezer to defost so added leftover cooked carrots and frozen mash + some oxo and it was LOVELY and quick and filling when we got home.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Stick it out - I have done Oxford to York several times with my older 2 on my own (prior to arrival of no3), it's about 5 hours door to door as we have an hours bus journey into Oxford first. Lots of snacks, a couple of cBeebies magazines and an A4 pad and crayons did us nicely. I've also done Oxford - Llanelli a couple of times which is similar.
Get yourself a family railcard and book the table seats - I would buy tickets for the children even though they don't need them, with the railcard discount it can actually work our cheaper than full price adult tickets and then you can reserve seats for them. Book a good way in advance and you should be able to get 4 table seats.
Have fun! We love train journeys, although the people sat around us had to listen to about 10 repetitions of The Snail and the Whale in one journey...0
